***Life Hack... people! All you have to do to get rid of the membership, is break the rules... you will see. they will cancel your membership immediately. Put loud music on, or do something stupid and your membership will be canceled asap. No fees, no nothing. You're welcome.

If you want to save your money, I highly recommend never go and never apply for their membership. Once you are in you will never stop your payments with them. They taking your money mo matter your are current member or not.

CAREFUL! They wont let you cancel you membership (even after the year ends) unless you send in a written letter, and then you have to wait 60 days, for which you still have to pay for.

This gym is a complete and total scam. I have been a member for over 6 years and I have spent 5 years trying to cancel to which they are refusing to cancel my membership and are telling me I have to take it up with the company that handles their finances... like what??? I have never in my life heard of anything this preposterous. If you value your money, time, and mental health please stay away from this gym, everything from the pitch they give you to sign up to when you try to cancel is fraudulent. They make it seem like everything is so easy and simple but they do everything they can to make your life a living hell and just drain money from your account. The staff and the company is a complete scam.

Misleading and false advertisement. The staff at the counter told me 2 things: That if I was to sign up today, there would be no signup fee, and that it was a monthly contract. When I asked if there is any annual fee, he replied no. When I asked if it was truly a month to month contract, he said yes.
Imagine my surprise when I review the contract a day later, and it says that there is an annual fee, and that the monthly contract is a locked in yearly contract, which one is unable to get out of unless they move or have a medical condition. Furthermore, to cancel your contract, you need to send a certified letter mail to the company.
Extremely misleading advertising and marketing.

Nice, clean gym, there is parking. A friendly team, there are also two punching bags. I really like this gym. And for only 21 dollars a month you can tidy yourself up in this gym.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, trainers are knowledgable in all aspects of health and fitness which allows them to attack your desired physique goal with ease, gym is always clean with weights organized accordingly. Most importantly... I can slam my weights without anyone even flinching :)

My Home Gym I love it I have been in many other gym like planet fitness blink fitness etc... But this is the best one very well orginized machines. LOVE RETRO FITNESS...

Have fun canceling your membership. Can't cancel in person, can't cancel on phone. 2 months already and mines is still not canceled yet, after It does get cancel, another 2 month charge....... Retro sign up is fast, canceling takes months

They claimed I needed to write a written statement and mail it to them. After they receive that written statement they will charge for 2 months and then cancel. Okay so understand the whole chargeing me 2 months thing but a written statement are u freaking kidding me. SIGNING UP IS SO EASY BUT CANCELING IS A NIGHTMARE!!! Get it together retro. NEVER AGAIN WITH THIS BRAND.

It's a good little gym, as good as Blink Sheepshead Bay. Moreover, it has much more equipment for a bro, versus Blink or Planet Fitness. Also, the place has group classes for just 10 bucks a month extra. 30 bucks a month and unlimited use of any Retro location, can 24 Hour Fitness or NYSC beat that?

It's a good little gym, as good as Blink Sheepshead Bay. However, the free-weight area tends to smell a bit. I mean I bench press 300 pounds at just 5'6, 220; therefore, there shouldn't be too many people who should reek more than me. Hopefully the staff can do a better job of airing out that little space, lol.

So far not a problem had a good workout session gym is fairly big. I put 4 because i think they could expand the gym size a bit more. They also have a parking spot but relatively small, about 10 to 20 slots i believe.

Staff is pretty cool! Now about the gym, nothing special, could use more machines, when something breaks, it takes months to get fixed or replaced, Leg extension machine took 4 months to replace! Most of equipment is old, but real reason why i will be leaving this gym after 3 years is because i always use the studio for my dance practice, and play music when there are no classes, after 3 years i was just told that you can no longer play music, that the music is only for classes now! This gym already missing a lot of important things and equipment, now they are taking away the only thing that made me switch to this gym, i'm very dissapointed! I wouldn't recommend this gym, plenty of better choices!

When I signed up last year, I was explained to that at the end of the contract year, I would be able to pay at a monthly rate that would cost me less than monthly rate I was paying as part of a one year contract if I wanted to continue my membership. Come this year, I've moved on to better things and wanted to make sure my membership was no longer active. It turns out, this gym automatically continued billing me at the same monthly rate I'd been paying as part of my one year contract, without ever asking me if or in which way I wanted to continue my membership. I'm now required to mail a letter canceling my membership, while at the same time paying for another sixty days of membership I never agreed to by the way in which the membership was explained to me. It's pretty unbelievable/unacceptable to me that you have staff explain contracts one way, while what we sign up for is completely different. It's now unsurprising why during my membership I watched several staff members leave because of how poorly this retro fitness is managed, as well as why regularly used equipment is left to deteriorate.

Awesome gym. They have pretty much everything you need and also extra specialized equipment in the back that a retired powerlifting brings in for the more experienced gym goers can use. The gym has mostly everything you need plus 3 squat racks, trx, battle Ropes, slam balls, Bosu balls, 3 cable machines and a lot more.

Most of the staff is pretty nice, i dislike may be a person or 2 that works there, otherwise the people are great. when it comes to the gym, most of the equipment is old and does need repairs, leg extension machine broke nearly 4 months ago and still hasn't been replaced, only because they are getting new one for free. who knows when that happens... bicep machine also missing over a month already, they just moved one of the machines over to make up for the space... they do everything for group classes but barely anything for members that use the rest of the gym, management is pretty much non existent in this gym, it;s not a bad gym, but management destroyed this gyms potential... i will always get a good workout no matter the gym, but i wouldn't recommend this gym, much better options out there for same or better price!

NOT possible to cancel. Don't be fooled if they tell you it's a one year contract. Thats an outright LIE. The truth is its a lifetime contract since it "renews" itself every year and there's no actual timeframe for you to cancel.. they will keep charging your card. Forever. Do not give card.. if must go here, then ask to pay cash only!!!

They need to fix machines that have been out of order for 2 weeks and even the paper towel dispenser in the gym areais broke! Bathroom is filthy BUT staff is very nice :)

Place is cool. Has times just like every other gym where it's packed wall to wall. But a great gym. Hardly any broken machines. And when they are down they get services right away. Wish it had a largger space for the dumbbells. It always feels cramped in the room.

Please when you sign in ask terms of month to month membership or one year contract. They are dishonest about cancellation. They tell you you can cancel anytime but it's not true they renew your membership after year without your consent. I will never deal with dishonest complete retro fitness and management.
I'm been charged almost $600 to cancel my membership.

UPDATE > 5 PM > I went to the gym and met with the manager, Raif. Due to regulations he was not able to cancel my membership BUT instead I've had to pay just one month with a trainer at 4 sessions a week and he also froze my account to where I don't have to make payments for 3 months until I resolve the issue of my dad being hospitalised and me being the primary care taker. Also I will not loose any sessions even if the month expired and they will be carried over. He was very professional and did his best to help me so now I am very happy.

If there was a option of 0 stars I would be clicking that! The gym stinks literally smells. I spoke to owner and the owner was staring into space. He did not care one bit. The gym is a mess! no wonder why it's $26/month. The cancellation process is very annoying! They make it impossible for their members! Maybe because they would have 0 members if it was easy.
