Love working out here. Peaceful place.
I can't get a better workout anywhere else.. the staff is very friendly and the place is so clean it's pristine And the equipment is always where it supposed to be
Iconic place for tourists to New York. Fun stores surround it, including a terrific Lego store and snack places. Of course, the building itself is interesting and at the right time in the morning, you can be in the audience of The Today Show
I really loved the name of this building. Equinox Rockefeller, it's such a wonderful name is it not. Plus youbgetvro see the church across the street which is pretty cool I guess. Anyway the name though. It's just such a great name. I think I'll name my kid Equinox Rockefeller as well. My kid will be the first to have that name, so it would be unique!

Rockefeller Center - as nice as always. Some construction / blocked off area.
Although the gym is quite pricey, I have to say that, for anyone serious about working out, it is worth the investment. The gym is very large with every type of machine and excercise accessories that you could need. Even during the busiest times you rarely need to wait for a machine. They have all different types of classes that are given in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The most impressive aspect is their locker rooms. They are beautiful, very clean and sport large powerful showers with a sauna steam room.
Favorite place in all of Manhattan. There is great shopping, better sight seeing, and so much culture within one city block. The NBC Studio Tour is an absolute must for anyone with even the smallest interest in the entertainment industry. If you go on the right day at the right time, you can even see members of the cast of NBC shows like Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. There are different things to do in the plaza depending on the time of year, but seeing Rock Center at Christmas time is something truly spectacular.
I really like how spacious this gym is. Everyone minds their own business and just wanna do what they gotta do. Trainers seem to care and pay attention to their clients. Staff are really nice. Maintence are a little less polite but still mind their own business. Overall, I enjoy my workouts here.

Great classes. But really expensive and weak customer service, particularly office folks and managers. Love the staff and instructors though. They're great!
UPDATE: The General Manager contacted me about this review and offered to discuss. I'm upgrading this to 4 stars based on his responsiveness. I will further discuss my concerns with him.

While I generally love Equinox, and I will be fair and not evaluate them on most things at this location because it's undergoing major renovation, I have to say that if you're only leaving one restroom stall open for use you should monitor it better. Especially when the staff to member ratio at the moment is 3:1, and that's being generous. Suffice it to say, on the macro it's phenomenal, but someone was clearly not doing their job.
This is a great club and I'd give it 5 stars if the elevators worked. They don't. And there are no stairs. So the wait to go in and to go out is unacceptably long. Unfortunately, it is taking them forever to address these issues. So when the work is done, this club will be terrific; but the wait is truly Godot-like.
Update: Almost a year later, the elevators are still under construction. They also "upgraded" the men's locker room, and the showers are in fact much better, but they put new faucets on the sinks that are unusable. And you still have to search far and wide to find a water fountain. Unclear if anyone is actually paying attention to this club.

The newest of Equinox locations in New York, this is their largest facility, and in my opinion one of the best, mostly because it's so big that it never really feels crowded or cluttered. They have a really great variety of group fitness classes at all times during the week, and a decent selection on the weekend. Their locker rooms and showers are also spacious and clean, but could use an upgrade as they are a little dated. They have really great massage therapists at the spa as well (I recommend Alex). Overall, it's one of my favorite locations to work out at.
September 5th Labor day, your webpage says this location is open until 9pm today, door at 45 rock plaza entrance is closed, phone does not answer, no voicemail even.
