I love this studio! I go to Courtney's Monday/Wednesday 6:15pm class and it's such a great workout, you feel amazing afterwards. And I love their pilates as well. Ashlee is the best instructor, and really explains every movement so you can do it correctly.

5 star barre classes and 4 star yoga. The barre classes (called figure 4) are the best in the city. I actually did these classes instead of physical therapy for tendonosis in my upper hamstring because it was cheaper and more effective than any PT I could find. Almost all of the teachers have serious dance backgrounds and are super knowledgeable about the body/anatomy. (Just make sure to tell them if you have injuries.) The steam room and showers are also great. The hot yoga is good but not on the same level as the barre.

My favorite yoga studio in the city. Everything is provided- mats, towels, showers, soaps, etc. Friendly staff. Big, open, calming space. Highly recommend

Went to just one class there. Maybe it's just me not liking yoga, but the class I took was pretty boring and not challenging. Great showers, though.

I have nothing negative to say about the studio and the instructors at pure. The facilities are beautiful and the classes are challenging. The 2 star review is simply coming from the fact that I didn't have a pleasant experience with the management at pure. I recently got a job in LA that is forcing me to relocate to the west coast. I emailed pure about my move and was told that I had to come in and cancel in person. I did so and then was told that I had to provide proof of employment in LA in order to cancel. I had my new boss, a private screenwriter in Los Angeles, write a letter explaining that I would be working for her in LA. I submitted it to pure and then was told that that was not adequate proof and the letter had to have a letterhead in order to justify a cancellation. Not only was their response insulting to my line of work and a massive inconvenience while coordinating a cross country move, it also baffles me why they would treat a paying customer like a liar. I had to go to my boss YET AGAIN to ask for another letter which she provided and I submitted to pure. I was then told that my membership would be cancelled and I wouldn't be charged any longer. Of course, here I am a month after that completely awful experience still being charged by pure and having to dispute the charges. As much as I loved the facilities and teachers here it has not been worth the customer service nightmare that I've had to deal with since. Save yourself and join modo yoga in the west village instead.

Awful, overpriced membership system. While the instructors and facilities are good, the managers and front desk ruin the whole experience. They bind you into terrible contracts and always make you feel they're trying to squeeze more money out of you. Good luck trying to cancel -- I had to call and email countless times to pester them before they finally agreed to cancel after my year was up. One day I tried to take a friend to use one of my three guest passes I was supposedly given for my year membership and they told me those had expired -- of course they'd never said up front that those were time-sensitive. One of the few "perks" and they can't even give that. The people at the front desk are openly rude a lot of them time, too. Overall it's a racket and you can get good classes elsewhere in the neighborhood for more competitive prices. Given the quality of the instructors and facilities, it's sad that the place is run so ungraciously. But I wouldn't advise giving them access to your credit card.

Pure is hands down the best yoga studio in NYC. Really great and highly qualified instructors, a wide range of classes from ashtanga to iyengar and vinyasa and of course a beautiful facility. The changing area is spacious and the showers with kiehl's products are super nice. I have tried literally every other studio and Pure wins (especially compared to yogaworks)!
