The small weight room is always cold. Even when it's 30 degrees outside, the fan is running in full speed with the windows cracked open.

Not all members of community are allowed in... More staff / volunteers needed.. Unclean

This is a very chill environment. I would strongly recommend going here to work out quietly or play basketball with other players.

So much potential but the staff are lackluster so say the least and the whole place is basically a giant day care center. Theres always kids all over the place unattended and where they shouldn't be like in the middle of the running track or under a basketball hoop. They run classes on the basketball courts when there's 3 empty workout rooms they would be using to be much more efficient. The web site had zero information on what is scheduled each day so you just have to show up & hope that the basketball courts or running track are available. Even when you call or ask someone in person about the schedule it seems like nobody knows what the hell is going on. The thing is that its not even cheap! You guys really need to lift your game if you want to retain members and noit just run a day care facility.

The Armory is a great place for adult classes! Lots to choose from for all levels of intensity and ages. As a fit senior there's everything from (AOA) Cardio to Tai Chi with excellent instructors. My partner loves Spin, Pilates and Vinyasa yoga. We've been members for years. Great community place.

Chaotic place. People run in either direction. BTW, be careful and watch where you step because too many kids are present at any given time. No locker room, basically, you will need to change clothes in restrooms and place your stuff in locker which is outside... terrible experience! However, if you want to just run, there is a Prospect Park! Just change in YMCA, leave your stuff, and head on to Prospect Park!

What a terrible experience I had at this location. I called in advance and asked what were the necessary forms of identification needed to enter and the prices . I was told that all you needed was state identification and that the first three times were free . I traveled all the way from Staten Island to attend this location with my 17 year old brother and his friend also age 17. Only to find out at the desk that if you are not the legal guardian of anyone under the age of 18 they are not allowed to enter the premises. I inform the staff being well over the age of 18 myself and being a duly sworn peace officer for the state of New York that I was legally responsible for the children being that they were with me unfortunately we were denied access. I understand that every place has their rules but we should have been told this while before traveling so far I'll never go back

This place is an incredibly special place and provides an incredibly safe haven for my family to spend quality time together over the weekend and after school. Also in the town with little space to run around indoors - its such a saving grace for our entire family.

The place for excellent shotokan karate training with world renowned senseis - available for both kids and adults. Otherwise, the pluses include an indoor track, and the basics in terms of weight training room, cardio room and weight room. Major plus is the ability to go here and let your kids run around and meet up with other kids and families, making it a great community spot. The negatives are that it can be crowded and there are no showers.

This YMCS is housed in a great, vintage armory, with a airplane hangar- sized running track/basketball court, and multiple rooms for yoga, Zumba, aerobics and weights. The halls are lined with beautiful glass fronted wooden cabinets. There's even a quaint military museum on the premises. Only downside is: they're no showers.

Great location for group classes: Yoga, Zumba, Cross fit, spin & more. Free weight room & treadmills. The Drill Hall has been transformed into an indoor running track with basketball hoops units center. Ping Pong tables. Day care & loads of classes, programs for kids. No showers. Bike racks.

I love this place. I work out 4 days a week here, my kids play sports and go to camp here, and we've even had birthday parties here. The staff are super sweet, and we are so grateful to have the Y.
