One of the toughest classes in NYC. With boot-camp style HIIT, smaller group strength specific training as well as personal training and yoga. TTL is a great place to go to train and not the place to show up hung over or after work and expect to cruise through and break a light sweat. The instructors are very hands on, will ensure your form is correct and modify the workout as needed to ensure you are challenged no matter what your level of fitness.

I first started taking the Training Lab classes the first year they opened. I absolutely loved it from the get-go because of the intensity and how the trainers always motivated me to push harder when I felt I just "can't do it".

1 year later and I'm still taking classes here and have far-exceeded my fitness goals, feeling stronger than I've ever felt before. The pours of sweat you'll feel is incredibly worth it. You'll come out of this studio, down those long flight of stairs like you've just conquered something great. Just like everyone says, it is NOT for the faint of heart and would not recommend it to beginners. It will push your endurance level to the extreme. All of the instructors are phenomenal and yes, like a true bootcamp style training, they will yell at you (but with a lot of love behind those yells). My favorite is Daria - she is cray, but I love her so much!

Bought a 2 pack pass and was only able to use one due to time constraints. I did the "Training Ground" class on Friday July 19th with Johnny. It was similar to a CrossFit class in that there was a cardio/core/stretch warm up, then a big lift and finished with a circuit style/obstacle course workout.

The front desk (I also think one person was possibly a trainer) were friendly as I couldn't figure out how to use the digital lockers (but yeah for digital lockers!!) and she showed me how. I don't know her name but she was so fill of energy and had a great personality.

As for the class, it was definitely exhausting, but I also felt exhilarating at the same time. Johnny was definitely watching everyone's form and I really appreciated that. I don't even think I was ready for his class as I had taken 3 straight days off from the gym, but his class made up for it lol.

If I were in the area, I'd definitely do it again.

My favorite gym in the city! Challenging but fun and always changing. The classes include cardio, strength training and toning. Daria is amazing! She has an awesome energy and is very attentive. She pushes and supports you throughout the class.

Amazing gym! Ruben & everyone at the Lab are incredible. If you want to see yourself transform, this is the place! You'll amaze yourself with how quickly you become stronger. No one will push you past what you're capable of accomplishing, so, whether you know it or not, try when they say you can because you'll surprise yourself! If you have any injuries, everyone is super knowledgeable and will help you modify accordingly. (Don't be surprised if they even remember it the next time you're in class!) What amazes me most of all is how friendly everyone is, staff and customers alike. Whether it's your first time or you're a regular, you'll fit in like you've always belonged.

Hands down one of the best studios in the city. Although a little pricey its worth every penny! As a college athlete and fitness enthusiast this is definitely my new favorite workout and always sore the next day! If you're ready for a serious sweat in a motivating and high energy environment I highly suggest giving this place a try :)

Being a former college athlete & fitness junkie Ive tried basically every Studio/gym in NYC. I started at the lab about 7 months ago through classpass (but have officially become a member) My body transformed itself in just the first few weeks of classes! The workouts are fast paced and challenging but simultaneously welcoming to people that may be newer to the fitness world. But the real difference between the Lab and everyplace else are the people there. I've never met a group of more dedicated coaches who not only force you to leave your excuses at the door, but push you to your individual limits and get you excited about being outside of your comfort zone. They have proven that working out does not have to be boring and monotonous; & the team like environment their members create is beyond motivating. It allows you to realize no matter where you are starting from, we are all here to get stronger, faster, leaner or whatever it is your fitness goal is. I definitely think if you are looking for a no BS workout, this is the place to come! Their motto says it all, "NO Hype, Just results"

This isn't just the hottest and newest workout in NYC, it is the best! I would describe it as a cross between (a safer) crossfit and bootcamp. Pushed to our individual limits in a group class setting (although personal training is also amazing). Ruben and Colter have created an environment where you are setup to succeed. The space is beautiful and filled to the brim with beautiful (Rogue) equipment. I have no doubt that by summer I will be in the best shape of my life!
And to the reviewer that whined that there is no elevator. Seriously? If you can't make it up 2 flights then you need to workout!

Ruben and Colter are motivating and encouraging, they can tell when you need to be pushed and when you need some assistance but they won't let you get away with any slacking! The facility is top notch and the other athletes treat you like a teammate and friend despite the fact that they might not have ever met you before. You might feel slightly intimidated walking in your first time but rest assured you will be exchanging high fives with the rest of the crew in no time. The culture at TTL is different than most gyms, everyone in the class is competitive but also wants to see you succeed, I have found that this is the best combination for motivation because it forces you out of your comfort zone to find the best version of yourself.
