The staff is extremely RUDE, and was shouting on me and trying to threaten and beat me after stepped on my foot. There's a wrong schedule, I only wanted to get the class back. I almost called 911 for this situation. I'm afraid I would get killed there. This is the worst experience I have EVER!!!
Fantastic, challenging Mixed Level class with Ann who provided focused attention on all of us and thorough explanation of the objective/purpose of each movement and incorporated exercises new to me which kept things interesting. Always enjoy instruction from Ann, and I lucked out in this convenient location since Ann was subbing.
Still interesting and challenging after 2 additional Level 1 classes with Richie. Love his personality and he keeps the class/movements interesting and corrects form and provides assistance to get the most out of the exercise. He is very encouraging, supportive and entertaining throughout the class. Looking forward to more classes with Richie.
Unique, effective class with Mary. I did not expect keeping my legs stable in table top for several movements would be so tiring. Different movements than I was used to, but Mary kept an eye on our form to protect us.
My free intro educational session with Richie was great. Extremely informative, thorough and entertaining. Even though I have taken Pilates Reformer classes before, I learned a great deal from Richie. Looking forward to my next class at 300 W 38th St, 3E.
Some more info: max class size is 10, and the set-up is similar to other studios where there is limited waiting room while another class is in session, but there is a bathroom and 2 changing rooms and cubicles to place belongings. Not sure what else would be needed. Just make sure you know to get buzzed in/up.
I really enjoy the studio overall, my body feels great leaving these classes which I love. The instructors all have differing styles however all have been wonderful and make the classes very enjoyable. Everyone makes an effort to know your name and get to know you which makes it feel like a familiar comfortable place right away. As I was getting back into working out after having my son I really appreciate that there are always options provided to make the exercise easier or more difficult catering to all levels and options are provided to modify exercises if I struggle with an exercise. Vivian the business manager is very friendly always remember everyone's name and is helpful in scheduling and reminding you when. The 38th street location (the only one I've tried) is very clean and well set up. It would be nice if there were showers which makes it a bit easier when you are going somewhere after the class but it hasn't really been an issue.
I was there for Pilates Mat 1 training class, Ann is an amazing teacher, instructor and inspirer for those who are interested in Pilates! I am glad I got my first teacher training with Ann, will definitely continue :D
Took an intro to Pilates with Keely and it was great. We were a class of 5, 3 of whom had injuries (myself included), which she took into consideration throughout each move. Informative class, Keely walked us through each part of the machine and gave us a nice intro to all the class components. I left feeling worked out and informed.
