My wife and I had massages here and both enjoyed the experience. The spa itself is small, but cozy. Both my wife and I were very happy with our massages. Sure, the price is a little high, but it's a massage in NYC.

I only leave reviews when I'm really impressed or really annoyed. Guess which one this is?

Just to start, Regina gave me a great massage, and was very attentive to my various physical ailments. If you're looking for a place to just get a spa service, without the relaxation spaces, then go for it. The cons:

1) all spaces are coed, and it doesn't say so on their website, so I was not prepared with a bathing suit or anything.

2) they had a sauna, which I couldn't use, due to above reasons, but it was the size of a closet.

3) the only other facilities are showers inside of the two single unisex bathrooms, so you have to rush the shower in case someone else has to pee.

4) waiting room is coed also, so even if they gave me a robe, I probably wouldn't have been comfortable sitting around in it, but...

5) the women at the front desk did not offer me a key to a locker or a robe (I figured out too much later they were in the lockers), so I just put my dirty street clothes back on after showering.

6) those women at the desk were so loud and obnoxious, you could hear them all the way in the treatment rooms, though I think one of the therapists went and shushed them at some point.

Basically, I will definitely never come back, because at such exhorbitant prices, you should offer your customers an actual day spa experience, or at least say on your website that you don't offer it.

Massage was OK. Facility OK. I thought the cost was steep for amenities and service. Overall, I would not go back, but I guess there are great exercises classes there and it is nice to have a spa rather than no spa. I did like the tea they had though.

I did a Core Fusion Barre class here via ClassPass - great class with individual feedback during it. Studio was clean and tidy

As a regular and good customer of exhale spa I would think I would receive great customer service, but no. It is a super hot humid day and on my way to the class I suffered major dizziness and vertigo (which I was diagnosed with a year ago) and obviously could not take the class. I called to see if I could keep the last class in my package, but I was told because they had "extended the courtesy before" they could not let me hold on to my class even though I was sick. People do get sick at any given time, so they should be willing to help people who do--especially ones who generally support their business. They just lost a valuable customer.
I guess I will be taking the other barre classes that are everywhere now. When you have competition like they do, you should do everything you can to keep your customers.
