Never knew there were theater shows here. Great space.
Very much enjoyed the Theater, not your mother's Valentine's day was perfect for Valentine's day.
Kudos to the writing, acting and the support.
The plaque below was incredibly special to me .
Much love and respect.
The 14th Street Y is a place where you can go and hang out. It has a fitness center, basketball court, swimming pool, male and female locker rooms, sauna and you can even take a few fitness classes. Another great thing about this place is you can bring your kids to learn how to swim. I think they also have day care. It's reasonably priced and you get what you pay for.
Very well equipped Gym Facility - latest workout equipment to work on every part of body/muscle group. Nice size pool to do those laps....Locker rooms are ample and include shower area and a sauna room...Have alot of activities/Events going on to peak young and old interests.
Always love it here! Shout out to Arcadio--thanks for helping us feel so welcome!!! This is really a central hub for a lot of what goes on in the East Village--and we, as a family, really just love this place!
I really like the community feel here. This place feels a bit like home
They have fabulous programs for my special needs son. Thank you Blair
My friend purchased a 5 pack of private 30 minute swim lessons for me. I attend sessions once a week. My swim instructor is knowledgeable, encouraging, pushes me enough yet understands I have boundaries. I am happy to finally not be scared to dip even just a toe into water now.
Came to see a play called StarBright. Was intimate and very good. Thank you for the experience.

Love the Y. Great staff. Wish there was more than one elevator. Also seems a little old in places.

Saw a play at Broadway Bound festival. What I saw looked good.

This place is my jam. Fit, mature crowd, inspiring instructors.
Great little black box theater on the second floor.
Great Contributor and supporting the Arts and empowering the citywide community with cultural events
The facility is a bit old and that is part of its charm. I I had an event there and the staff was very helpful and on top of it. Location is pretty good as well.
The 14th Street Y has a lot of great qualities. It's convenient, wonderful children's programs, friendly staff, etc.. The negatives are largely the tired gym equipment, relatively small gym & constant complaining from the older membership which becomes quite tiresome.
Great Gym and sauna. And amazing other recreational activities I definitely enjoy the gym, well up to date equipment and trainers.
While the 14th Street Y is a place to exercise, it was also used recently for a venue on an open house for the Canarsie tunnel closure. I felt it was a great place to do this, given the fact that there's so much to learn about how the tunnel closure would change people's commute through the city.
I have been going to the gym for over 2 years. I have never been to the pool but heard good things about it. Fitness center is good. Basic machines. Can be a bit tight during the rush hours. Overall a good place. The membership fees a quite nominal and love the fact that they charge monthly with no commitment or contract. Quite hassle free.

This is a wonderful and save family oriented organization with state of the art facilities. It's where my kids learned how to swim since they were babies and it's were I work out. Highly recommend it.
I'm a long standing member of the community. Was really pleased to see the Y drop for a period their membership enrollment fee. The monthly fees aren't the cheapest in the area but felt with the new improvements in the gym and locker rooms it was worth it. Great front of house staff, always busy, clean and efficient. Gym was satisfactory nothing fantastic fairly no frills (for the price) but adequate. What made the monthly fees worthwhile was a morning swim. That was until i realized that every single day i had gone for 3 solid weeks the pool guy made some strange confrontational and bullying comment to me. Odd bloke, as a woman on my own wasn't happy with this whatsoever. Never had anything like this in my career or personal activities. By the last day of the third week i was in tears by this picky harassment so spoke to management. Unfortunately, he's still working there and I now don't feel at all relaxed being around such an odd bloke alone in a pool. Swimming outside of these hours in "womans swim" is packed with people just socializing as was family swim and he's on duty each day!
So, my advice is as a single woman be mindful of swimming what happened to me could happen to you. I'm cancelling my membership, don't need to pay to be bullied! Sad as the rest of the staff there were such a joy.
Machines are in the best shape of any gym I've been to in the last several years. Everything is well maintained, updated, clean, and in immaculate condition
Their roof is cool. Gym still needs some work
Nice clean facility. The gym is pretty basic more like a hotel gym but the babysitting is very good. Most of the toys had working electronics and the interaction was great.
The staff are nice, the facilities are clean and never too crowded. The people who come here are lovely and polite, very good environment to work out. The classes are fun too. And there's a pool.

Friendly, casual place. Good yoga and exercise classes. Pool too small and warm but used to have terrific Master Class. Need one again!
