You should sign up if you have the cash and plan on working out by yourself. They have good equipment. Thats the only good thing. The extra 100$ for a 'trainer' will only get you 10 min of padwork after your first week when you have already paid for it. Literally that is it. The extra 100$ is absolutely not worth it. I know, I came to this gym for around 9-10 months. And this is 100% not a gym to come to if you plan on competing, or even just have regular sparring. Its very much a white collar gym, where the trainers will seek to train those finance guys and the models that come around over the people that are truly trying to learn the art of boxing. To get real training you need to go to a gym in poorer areas where sparring is abundant and there are real fighters . I go to a gym in the South Bronx now and Ive gotten more sparring here in 2 months than I did in 10 months at Mendez
