Sean Gallagher is a great physical therapist. His knowledge of functional anatomy is stellar and his willingness to share this knowledge with clients, students and patients I have found above and beyond.

As a pilates student, my private sessions here are the highlight of my week. When his schedule permits, I am able to take lessons with the owner, Sean Gallagher, and through these lessons my understanding and practice of pilates has deepened and grown profoundly. Sean has a patient manner of teaching and attention to detail that pushes me to do my best and enhances my overall quality of how I do pilates even outside of our sessions. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to study with one of the most experienced pilates teachers in the industry who also happens to be one of the most well known and respected physical therapists in the performing arts world.
I would also like to add how it saddens me to read the bad review on this page, primarily because I have also had physical therapy with Sean and he has always been the exact opposite as described in the review. I have always witnessed his bedside manner to be professional, clear, focused, and kind towards his patients. Furthermore I was present at the time of this incident and what took place is as Sean describes in his response to the review.

Sean Gallagher had a hostile bedside manner, which I ignored for quite some time. During one of our sessions, he was physically aggressive and, when I told him he didn't have my consent to cause me that kind of pain, he quickly interrupted me and told me "we could no longer work together." I was shocked to have a medical professional deny me care in retaliation of my asserting myself. The silver lining is that I then tried Spear, which is a much nicer facility, with friendly staff, and much more up-to-date equipment and resources. Sean's practice used to have multiple therapists working there (one of whom I loved) but now he is the only one and he moved into a much smaller basement studio. Now I understand why...
