I have my 200-hr yoga teaching certification, I've studied almost every style and traveled India extensively... For my money, the 26-plus series at 26th St YTTP is just about as good as it gets. If you have any injuries - especially knees, shoulders, or spine (I have them all) - this series is medicine. Not to mention, their teachers are very, very good. Love the heat, love the 60-min pace, not pretentious, good vibes. Highly recommend.

I have been a member of the amazing Yoga To The People "family" and studio on 27th street for the past 3 years. The owners, Neil and Greg, and ALL the stellar teachers that work out of the 27th street studio have, in a word, changed my mental and physical life(and the lives of many others!) for the better. The staff and instructors here at 27th street create a very welcoming and nurturing environment for the complete newbies to Hot Yoga ( like I was ) and also provide a supportive place for seasoned Yogi's to deepen their practice. Perfect meditative yoga practice to unwind and stretch out without the pretentious bull. The perfect balance of challenge and relaxation. I go 3 times a week.
took the hot yoga classes. the group energy is great. relaxed lounge area bonus they have showers.
Folks behind the front desk are very friendly, patient, and positive. The teachers are consistently very good. The locker room vibe is one of community. The hot room is always super clean.
Highly recommend this studio. Classes are not expensive, and all the instructors are splendid. They will guide you attentively through a deep and personal journey where one will discover the self anew. I strongly encourage anyone to do a twenty classes in thirty days challenge; then the real fun begins. Tish and all other instructors are always smiling and attentive. Neil always greets everyone with a truthful and hones heart accompanied with a smile. Don't look far, search within. Ohmm.
I live downtown but travel here for so many reasons. Such a beautiful welcoming space, a kind and knowledgeable staff and on top of that extremely affordable. I highly recommend and am very grateful to have found a place that feels like home.

I've been coming to this YTTP for just over a year now and it has been such a wonderful experience. I work in the fitness world so to come to YTTP where there are no airs and no pretensions is so special. the mix of instructors is wonderful, the classes are reliable and they're always welcoming with a hello, a smile or a free something. thanks for having me all this time! I'm sad to be leaving NYC
Had my first yoga experience and it was amazing, will be returning for sure. The instructor for the day was Gloria and she really knocked it out the park.

No. No. No. This place is terrible. It doesn't follow the yoga philosophy at all. The people working there are pushy and always trying to up-sell. Don't even get me started on the instructor. And the smell is even worse. Yes, it's cheap. But don't waste the money. No music. 107 DEGREES (when most traditional classes are 98)!!!! Trash.
