My girlfriend and I used our class pass to get in while I was visiting her. I'm certainly not new to yoga but I'm also not a yogi. This center was more than accommodating to a helping me with some of my form. When I'm in town, I will try this center out again. I liked the focus on my breath. Thank you Rashila for a great experience.

My flexibility, concentration and mindfulness have definitely improved since joining this studio. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and professional; the studio is welcoming, clean, and has a great group of diverse practitioners. I've taken classes at different difficulty levels (beginner/intermediate/advanced), and with each class, instructors offered modifications/alternatives to poses to accommodated students of all levels. Truly a wonderful place.

This was a HORRIBLE experience. I bought a groupon, and was at the check in, showing the transaction from my bank on my phone, and they wouldn't let me enter the class. Not sufficient information. Doesn't seem very yoga like. I will never go there again. A wasted groupon

I discovered Dharma Yoga Center because of my colleagues and via the Groupon app. I am SO in love with this center and all people there. The people and space is so warm and welcoming to all. The teachers are hands-on and informative. I recommend everyone come to Dharma, even If you have never practiced yoga before, it is an enlighteningnexperience!! Thank you!!!!!

great non-competitive yoga vibe with an awesome sense of community amongst the practitioners. i practiced AND did a teacher-training here and regardless of what i was there to do, my takeaways were one of the greatest I have ever had the honour to have. especially when I get to meet GURUJI Dharma. I truly look forward to my next visit here for this new year.

Mohawk has created an experience that is just plain right. There is a feel of positive energy the moment one enters the studio. It has a very calming effect that prepares you for the session. The instructors are personable and very helpful and do make it a point to assist newbies.

Very nice place for beginners and experts. Staff and teachers are very nice. Some classroom is a bit too small. No complaint other that that.

Really enjoy this studio. The teachers and the rest of the staff are all very kind. I never thought I'd be able to do a headstand or a bridge, but these guys helped me to do it. Be on the lookout for the dharma dog :3

Good to experience, but definitely more of a spiritual yoga place than I expected. The instructor I had was a lady and very passionate about teaching us so much that class went over 30 mins. Yoga mats are $2 to rent and the facilities are really clean.

The classes they call Beginner are not beginner. They do shoulderstand and headstand every class which can cause serious injury to the cervical spine. They don't warm up properly. They also do very advanced back bends that can also seriously damage the spine. This is a good studio for advanced practitioners who know their body. But is NOT RECOMMENDED for people who are unfamiliar with yoga. Unfortunately, the teachers do not fully warn or explain the possible serious damage they can cause.

This has always been my favorite studio. I recently went to the restorative yoga class with Will and it was amazing - everything I was looking for in a restorative and meditative class. The people who work there are informed, kind and will gladly help and answer all of your questions. The location is clean, serene and peaceful. Plenty of parking in the lot and area feels safe. There are neighborhood cats :) I love it and can't wait to go back weekly

I love this place! Whenever I visit New York, Dharma Yoga is my home away from home. I've gone just to spend a weekend practicing there. It's like getting my batteries recharged to be in that space. The studio itself is very conveniently situated in the Flatiron District. There are great vegan options right near the studio where you can get food after classes. When you get up to the studio itself it's like entering a bubble where the hustle and bustle of the streets of Manhattan fade away and you feel calm and welcome. It's like a yoga oasis.
With all the teachers you can't go wrong. You can tell they are there because of their love for the practice and tradition of yoga. The classes are fun and challenging. Meeting, training, and practicing with Dharma himself is a life-changing experience. Just to see him in action is a treat and inspires me to go further with my practice, finding just how much I'm capable of. That's a great teacher. He has an aura of depth but he never lets you put him up on a pedestal.
Their Life of a Yogi program for current and aspiring teachers and seekers is a rare opportunity to come face to face with the living, ancient tradition of yoga. I went through the 500-hour level training. I was excited to get that certification, but I ended up getting so much more. What I really got was experience with a genuine master teacher. They have an 800-hour program which I hadn't really been thinking of taking, but after my experience with the 500 there's no doubt that I want to go further with my training with Dharma. Even if you're already certified at these levels you can still receive so much from training with Dharma. He's known as the "teacher's teacher" for a reason.
Give Dharma Yoga a try and see what yoga really is. Namaste
