Kelly Morris is the best teacher I have ever had & continues to be my heart teacher to this day and will always be. She exposed me to the heart of yoga, she guided me towards the most amazing Guru's & held my hand through each experience. She is direct and honest, she is not made up of fairy tales and new age feel good nonsense. She will never waste your time, everything she says is meaningful and you should have your journal ready at all times. I owe my teaching style to Kelly Morris. She is truly one of a kind & if you have the chance to learn from her, GO! Learn & soak it all in. All my loving kindness, Dawn

There are so many yoga teacher training programs available, especially in NY area. I'm sure they all have some good and not so good aspects to them. There will always be an "I wish this had more of this and less of that" but that will be wherever you go. However, it boils down to what is important to you in a training program. If you're just looking to become certified to teach a yoga class or get it done in a month, this isn't the program for you. If you're looking to have a greater understanding of who you actually are and what that means in the greater context of the world we live in, you're looking in the right place. If you're looking for honesty and tough love, from someone who readily admits they themselves are not perfect you're getting warmer. To be clear - I wouldn't want advice from someone who thought they had it all together... because, with the exception of maybe a handful of people on this planet, no one has it all figured out. We're all perfectly imperfect and when we can start to see THAT, instead of seeing all the flaws and getting upset when we can't fix or change them, we start to see how everything has many other faces. This program affords you the opportunity to understand yourself in a way that allows you to be the best version of you to then go out and impact and change your world - whether it's with a bunch of yogis or just fellow sentient beings.

The program has changed a bit since my term. Instead of a group of 20, it's a group of 5. Instead of multiple teachers, it's one; Kelly. It's Kelly giving you her knowledge, as she understands it, directly. Mouth to ear. That's pretty amazing. And she'll still be the first to tell you to take lots of different classes and teachers to learn from.

As with anything, have an open mind; have a strong mind; have a flexible mind. You can take what you want from anything... it can be life changing or just another page in your book; the choice is up to you.

I don't know of another teacher on the planet who has the vast amount of sheer, life force energy coursing through her that Kelly Morris does. Especially in the yoga world, where we're all too often taught to cultivate a politely-curated level of equanimity at the expense of our "unruly" humanity, she is indeed a rarity.

The founder of Conquering Lion Yoga, Kelly is, befittingly, a true lioness. As such, she is fierce and feisty and, dare I say, a provocateur sent out to rile complacency on behalf of the Wild Divine. There is a relentlessness to her mission; the CLY experience seeks to touch a place in you that is homesick, in the most primal of ways, for a different kind of world. It is from this place of awakened remembrance that you'll work. But be warned; this program is not for the faint of heart. There is nothing romantic about it. Be prepared to reckon with the ruthlessness of the residue that keeps you from your most potent self.

Perhaps Kelly's gift par excellence is her Sight. You can't hide here (and you wouldn't want to). She'll see your sacred and your profane (and you'll see hers, too). And ultimately, through the magical wilds of this process, it all gets rendered holy. This is not just yoga. It is alchemy.

When I applied for Conquering Lion, I needed change in my life, and quick. Little did I know that Kelly Morris' instruction was literally going to turn my practice and my point of view completely upside down. As adults, we rarely get the chance to change everything. This is your chance.

Change is hard and can be painful, but Kelly led me through a personal transformation that has forever changed me. Now, I meditate daily, run yoga and meditation retreats for others, and have organized my career and life in a much more powerful way. Its hard to explain the program's impact, but if you are someone who is ready to change, ready to grow, ready to create the discipline needed to be the person you know you must be in order to change the world, then this is the program for you. I am forever indebted to Kelly Morris and the community of Lions and Lionesses who I now count as dear friends. I'll never be the same.

It's no surprise that most of these reviews say that training with Kelly "changed my life." Kelly's pursuit of Truth is part of every breath she takes, every word she speaks, every shape she takes. She is extremely knowledgeable in Yoga, Shamanism and Buddhist studies, extremely skillful in how she conveys these teachings, and her asana classes bring you into a floating state of meditation. But I think what is most incredible about Kelly is her unceasing devotion to her path and her unbelievably courageous way of walking it. It's impossible to spend time with Kelly without getting infected with these qualities which will drive you to know yourself and your world more intimately. Once you take a look in the mirror she holds up for you, transformation is inevitable. If you're not ready to change yourself and your world, then you're not ready for Kelly Morris. But if there's a part of you dying to wake up and grow up, go to her class or sign up for her training program. Now.

Taking the Conquering Lion Yoga program with Kelly changed my life. It taught me how I could set myself free from my own limitations. And that is no exaggeration. Kelly is a true master. There are so many people out there claiming to know how to teach yoga and just don't. Yoga is not just about poses, it is an ancient philosophy and way of life and moving the body is only part of the story. So with Kelly, you learn the true power of yoga, how when practiced perfectly it FREES you, from all of the stories in your mind that keep you from being happy. Kelly has a no-bullshit, straight up style that is such a refreshing change. Also, she's not afraid to evolve, both the program and personally. She's real, human and loves her students. This training will not only give you the tools for becoming a great teacher, but a great human being.

I am so incredibly grateful that my path brought me to Kelly and I can't recommend her highly enough to someone who wants to continue their study of yoga. As anyone who has taken a class with her knows, her classes are like no other - both physically and spiritually. She is a force - on and off the mat. Constant wisdom rolls off her tongue! I learned so much from her teaching program... If you want to take your practice, teaching or life to the next level, Kelly is for you.

"Kelly taught me the most valuable and precious of teachings. She showed me that the teacher is within each of us. Kelly has a passion and a loving desire to create an environment where one can evolve and grow into the amazing person they are beyond the layers of conditioning and self sabotage. Kelly is an alchemist. The opportunity to study with such a dynamic person is one I feel eternally grateful for."

With love,
