Every day I get up, ready to go to the gym
Except lately I've been less than excited to go.
I won a 3 month membership to "any @blinkfitness through a bid at a school auction @biddingforgood
But then the gift card that came in the mail, named a specific gym far from me.
At first my local Blink accepted me
And then all of the sudden,
After 2 weeks of blissfully working out there
They stopped.
I've been emailing and leaving voicemails for Corporate, but no one picks up.
Do they have too many membership problems to keep up?
That's what I'm led to think when a business is unreachable, or they're doing trying to help me.
Anyway, the last couple times I've gone to @blinkfitness I've shown the front desk folks the @biddingforgood listing where it's quite clear I bid on a membership good "at any Blink Fitness," but they don't bat an eye of sympathy.
This whole scenario making my relationship with the staff, who I used to think of as friendly, pretty uncomfortable.
It's like they think I'm trying to get one over them, when it's really @blinkfitness mismanaging their charitable donations.
Ok.
I'm done my #1stworldprobs rant
However, the bigger reflection I'd like to generate is...
If you run a company
That is claiming to do good
In this case by donating a gym membership to a school auction
Why not be really solid about making the good real?
And even if a mistake is made, honoring the good intention?
Oh, and have enough customer service reps to handle customer queries!
