Great space and good instructors. The downside is on popular times, they cram too many people into one studio. I get that its NYC, but you should have enough space to not touch someone on a fold across your mat.

Love me some Yogamaya. They have some truly lovely teachers.

Without a doubt my favorite yoga studio in NYC. This is the most beautiful studio - so spacious, soooo zen, beautiful wooden carvings and gorgeous facilities. And the studios are QUIET. Allie is the best teacher!!! Her classes have the perfect balance of physical challenge and that sacred deeper yoga experience. This is NOT a core power yoga experience, thank goodness! She plays a beautiful instrument at the beginning of class, has a thoughtful message, and her sequence is always interesting and challenging to just the right amount. She gives such specific detailed instructions that I always get that extra something out of each position. 100% recommend!!

Staff and teachers are friendly and professional. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded, but if you arrive 10 mins early it's rare not to have enough space. Their philosophy is very peaceful while still doing challenging yoga.

The instructors are great, everyone is so friendly. The facilities are brand new, clean and wonderful. Overall an amazing experience that has gotten me hooked on hot yoga! Thank you!

I've been coming here randomly for over a year. My favorite Yoga spot in an area full of Yoga spots.

* Always clean
* Nice decor
* Great teachers.

Only downside is that it can be super crowded during the Holidays. But normal weekday / weekend classes are ok.

Great teachers and class is so much fine! I love that the instructors take 5 minutes to allow everyone to play with a hard pose. One of the best yoga classes and studio that I've been to in NYC.

I love YOGAMAYA. If this studio were closer to work, I'd be a frequent regular. They've created a welcoming and open space that feels like an oasis from city life, and their teachers are very knowledgeable. I always look forward to coming here.

I tried to attend a class this morning at 7:06am. They have a five minute late policy, which I understand. However, I am registered for the class via ClassPass. This means that I will be charged a late fee if they do not check me in. The attendant at the desk insisted that there was nothing she could do and that was yoga maya's policy. While I agree with the late policy, I do not agree with not checking individuals in if they still made the effort to attend the class. How does it benefit patrons if they are still charged a no show fee. This reflects poorly on yogamaya. As a business, not checking in a student not in the class is a technicality. I thought the premise of yoga was to go beyond these technicalities. Even as a business, this is unsavory. Many other studios I have registered for have allowed me to check in if the class was full because they opened the wait list a few minutes before the class or if my friends and I were a little bit or even a lot late due to one reason or another so that ClassPass users will not be charged a late fee. Like another reviewer said, treat your customers a bit better. I don't understand how a yoga studio can perpetuate policies that leave customers feeling so unwelcomed.
