I usually take classes in San Francisco, so while I was on vacation in NYC I wanted to keep up my routine. I normally LOVE Barry's and try to recruit anyone and everyone. I was a little disappointed with the class I took here. The facility itself was impressive - much larger than I expected, but the space between treadmill spots were really close, which made it hard to control speed on the treadmill. The floor was also quite close, so you couldn't do some of the exercises to its full extent. I also wanted more energy and engagement from the instructor. He wasn't bad, by any means. He was well organized and kept both floor and tread on task, but he wasn't as involved and upbeat as other instructors that I've had who really motivate and push you to work as hard as you can. Still, the workout was good - I sweat my face off, so I was content.
