As I write this review I am sitting perfectly still... If I make a sudden movement I will be instantaneously reminded of every minute I have spent at Brick this week. Oddly enough I love it.
As a gal who has heavily hit the NYC city gym circuit in the past (Flywheel, Soul Cycle, Barry's Bootcamp)... I can safely say those days are in the past. Unlike other gyms, everyday the work out is different and challenging. You can, and will want to, get into Brick at least 5 days a week. And any gym that willingly gets me in at least 5 days a week, is more than fine in my book. I mean for heavens sake I often go with little to no sleep and/or with a hangover. Its just that good.
The coaches (and quite frankly the most important aspect) are fantastic. Case in point, I was willing to switch to Brick (sight unseen) solely to follow Heidi from my old box. And from the looks of my classes, about 50% of each class did the same exact thing. Lucky enough Heidi has found some great coaches to align herself with, each and everyone of them motivating and inspiring. Hard to make 6:30am bearable, but each and everyone of them do.
And yea its hard...its supposed to be.
