Love, love, love Modo West Village! Studio is always clean and welcoming, instructors are all amazing, locker room is spacious with lots of lockers, and class always starts and finishes on time. Perfect temperature for those who love hot and sweaty yoga (like me!) and so many options for times and different classes! Favorite yoga I've ever done.
I've been attending classes at Modo Yoga, West Village, for about a month now. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and in my experience, run very smoothly and on time. They offer a variety of teaching styles, with classes that focus on different sequences, which I enjoy as I love to mix things up. Also, anytime that I may have had to reach out with any issues or questions, the response time has been quick and effective. I'm happy to have been recommended this studio by a friend when I was looking to switch up my practice. I'd recommend the studio to anyone who can 'take the heat' :)
The only yoga studio I will go to in NY! The focus is on the practice - no frills but still a very comfortable space with spacious locker rooms. The classes are capped to prevent overcrowding and instructors are highly qualified. Mats & towels can be rented for a few dollars which is also very convenient. Great people and great location!
I do not find this place relaxing. Mats are placed almost on top of each other in the room. It is impossible to do any yoga that involves limbs going off the edge of the map without bumping into someone. Locker room is a sardine can after a busy class. If you go, try to go before the 4/5 classes because evening classes will leave you more stressed and anxious than when you arrived.
Really like the studio and classes! They also used to have a really convenient app to manage scheduled. Unfortunately they released a new version of the app which is iPhone only, and the web interface is really not convenient, so go there much less often now... Too bad they don't include Android users!!
Had the most amazing class taught by Randy this morning. This studio is wonderful - the atmosphere is lovely from the aroma to the decor and of course everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. Hope to be back soon! The drop in was $20 and the mat and towel rental was free since it was my first class here.

If you want to be sweaty, hot, and relaxed, this is the place to be. The studio isn't as modern as I'd like it to be (it's woody and seems a bit old). However, it is pretty clean including the bathrooms. Their intro month is $40, which is kinda unbeatable for unlimited access to all classes or they even have free yoga in which you either have to exchange your time or other things. You can rent mats/towels for $2 each, and also buy beverages, clothes, and yoga essentials (mats & towels).
Shoes and coats are are stored near the front desk. You can also use their lockers (no need to bring a lock). There's also water so you can refill your bottles and tea.
Classes in Studio B are smaller which holds up to 30 people while Studio A holds up to 60 people. Everyone is quite close to each other, so there's not a lot of room to extend outside of your mat.

So much so that several people left during the middle of class just to cool down. The instructor was not happy to be there. There were mops/buckets and cleaning supplies scattered throughout the studio. Extremely disappointed in this location. Definitely try out Williamsburg if you can get there.

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! I signed up for the intro month and was instantly hooked. All of the classes and instructors are fantastic and the facilities are clean and green, which I greatly appreciate. The community is like no other that I have experienced during my search for a studio that was the right fit for me. This is definitely a special place that provides a variety of amazing hot yoga classes at an affordable price. I am so grateful to have found Moksha and continuously amazed by how much my practice has changed since I joined this studio. Definitely give Moksha a try, I'm so glad I did!!!

Love this place. Tried it during a New York trip because it's from the same branch then my yoga studio in Montreal. Feels just like home. Friendly and welcoming staff !
