I generally love Y7 and have been going to studios all across NYC for a long time now. It is a great workout, but this studio and the towels smelled so horrid I could hardly focus. I understand people sweat in there, but usually the instructor burns Palo Santo in the beginning, which is nice and really helps, but that did not happen here. Also, doing downward dog and child's pose was miserable due to the towel I was given, which I'm convinced couldn't have been washed (my boyfriend was there and his smelled too so it wasn't just me).
I will keep going to Y7 because other studio's have been clean and wonderful feeling, but for this one bring your own towel or just avoid.
Great flows. For me, Y7 is the right balance of things going on (heat, music, instruction) and freedom (flow on your own) to keep me focused and calm my mind.
I love this class but they literally made me cry today. After a long day I was excited to visit Y7 Soho. I knew they had a strict policy on not being late, so I got there fairly early. This studio has no flag, very little signage outside and then a buzzer to get in for which you need a code. So, it's difficult to find. I paced outside for several minutes trying to find it and as a resort went to call the studio only to find they had NO PHONE NUMBER. When I finally found my way in, they didn't let me into the class despite the fact I brought them two new customers (friends) who I had introduced to the studio for the first time. I gave the feedback they should really have a phone number and they said sorry you can I my reach us via email!? Then get a banner. Honestly, it's 2018 I should be able to call you in a click.
I just did Jennifer's Sunday Hip Hop class at the Soho studio. It was soo good! The routine was challenging, and I felt like I worked hard. I left the class feeling strong, sweaty and rejuvenated. The music was also really good. I will definitely keep going back, and I recommend that you go to Jennifer's classes - she was the best!!

I sporadically signed up for a class online while on vacation. The payment and sign up process was a little misleading. Be sure if you pay a single drop in for a specific class then sign in to sign up with that class. Paying for the class doesn't automatically register you for that class you chose - odd I know. I showed up for class to find I was actually not registered for a spot in the class but just paid for it instead. She quickly put me on the waitlist.
Other than the odd redundant pay then sign up process, the class was good. Different format than I was used to but it was good. The instructor walked us through the series then gave us a period of time to do it on your own. Good music. It was a candle lit class.
Accommodating. I didn't bring any yoga stuff on my weekend getaway to NYC but signing up online was easy and the studio had everything I needed to stretch my back and sweat out all the coffee and pastries I've been eating.
One of the better yoga studios out there, in my opinion. Nice and clean space with challenging classes that use fun hip-hop soundtracks as the instructor leads you through the flow.
I traveled 45 minutes in the rain this morning to get there at 7. The subway was delayed and i got to the studio 5 minutes late and they didn't let me in. I couldn't take any other class.
Great playlist (hip hop inspired yoga) and a clean, chic decor. Very limited showers though
