Excellent place and neighborhood. The children have fun for free.
They give them a membership. you as an adult must pay yours. I love it!!

Great prices decent enough equipment
The weight room itself is good and the facility is great for the price, but the locker rooms are dirty and theres one bench for everyone to share in a hallway sized locker area which is pretty tight and uncomfortable. I wish they could do something about the abandoned bikes parked out front too preventing anyone who bikes there from locking up too. But again, the gym itself is fine.
They keep taking away the afternoon lap hours! With no good reason. Machines ok. Mmbrshp went up 100%, it's now $150/yr. W pool. Staff attitude-y, but no prob.

This gym, has a lot of good machines, for legs they have elliptical machines, spinning bikes, for chest they have others, they have a clean pool, table tennis tables, basketball court, plus friendly staff.
It's quite decent for considering how inexpensive it is. Especially in comparison to any proper gym, especially in Chelsea. It has a pool and the facility is kept nice and clean. You may see some people there that you'd prefer not to but you cannot complain about much of anything for the price. I do not go myself. However, I have been once and that's what I saw.

Super low membership fee ($75/6-month gets you into this and all other NYC Parks Recreation Centers), this place is great value. 25-yard pool, decent weight room and cardio room, ping-pong tables, dance studio, and more. OK, machines are a bit worn and there are time limits on the treadmills, and you have to bring your own towel (and lock if you want to enter the changing room). But for a public facility this is pretty awesome!

I am thankful to be able to go for a swim join a class or utilize the gym or the weight room, however the overall moral of the staff needs to sharpen up. In addition, classes and schedules are subject to change which is understandable but commutation can be expressed through email.
I went to practice swimming, the pool it was clean and the lockers and other facilities too
One of my favorite rec centers. Very well maintained, friendly staff. Great activities hosted at this facility. Weight room and treadmills along with all workout machines are in working order. Also great indoor basketball\volleyball court. Truly one of best rec centers in NYC.
I go there only to swim. Great pool but often crowded. I wish the lifeguards were more attentive to folks who swim without caps (the rules say wear them!) because of the risk of hair getting into the water! Staff is very friendly and I always enjoy going, but I've recently discovered the beautiful Hansborough Recreation Center pool in Harlem and swim there when I can.
