I have been a member of Crunch for 19 years, so one may say I'm prejudiced in its favor. I say this because gym experience is a subjective one, with some people emphasizing the locker room amenities, others, the quality of the machines, yet others, their interactions with staff members. I have been a group fitness student in most of Crunch locations and definitely feel at home in any of them. Locker rooms aren't luxurious but you have lots of clean towels, shampoo, conditioner in the shower stalls, and lotion and mouth wash by the sinks, as well as magnifying mirrors, blow dryers and things like q-tips and cotton balls. You can use any available locker with your own lock or rent one from Crunch. There is a variety of excellent classes to pick from. The music playing inside the gym may get loud or not be to your liking but then, it's a miniscule inconvenience in my opinion. The only real negative for me is that prices keep going up every year, so paying for your membership up-front for 2 years, and asking for a few months as a reward is how you can save a lot of money because even if the rates go up during the 2 years of your existing contract, it doesn't affect you.
