Friendly, clean, comfortable perfect for business travel. This hotel is in a great location. Near Starbucks and dinners. View of the river and Brooklyn bridge. I would stay here again. Staff was great as well.

Small rooms - the bed takes up most of the room - there's a small bar [see pic] at the back of the lobby . Kind of cozy - also many tables there if you buy some food outside it would probably be comfortable to eat it in this lobby/lounge area . Near South Street Seaport - right up the street ,so there are many bar/restaurant there. Convenient to Financial District too .

The location of the hotel was great. I booked this hotel because it was cheap and close to the East River side. I love running and this was an excellent spot to start my run up to the United Nations building. The hotel itself was okay. Very noisy as I was sleeping next to a machine room. If I woud have been there for business I would have been annoyed. The breakfast was not okay. A lot of stuff was not available and you could tell very cheap and not very healthy food. Service was great, the personnel very friendly.

Good location in the financial district. 24/7 convenience near by. Lobby could use an update. Room was nice but small. Only there for one night but felt kind of cramped in there. Clean. Front desk was able to hold my luggage for me because I had a meeting than ran after the check out time.

It was a very nice hotel. Good continental breakfast every morning and a partial bar open during the week. The room was a bit small, but I believe all rooms are in the area unless you pay an arm and a leg. It was perfect for our weekend getaway or for someone's business trip. Highly recommended!

Our experience was excellent! Our room was very neat and tidy and house keeping did a great job all 5 days we were there. The front desk staff was also awesome and so helpful with instructions and directions (since we were tourists). The complimentary breakfast was also great. There was plenty of varienty that I ate something different every day for 5 days. The hotel also made additional effort by setting out snacks every afternoon and one day they even set out a hot cocoa bar which was wonderful. Thank you for the awesome experience!

This hotel is in Downtown New York. It's in a fabulous location close to the East River and the bars and restaurants. It's a short walk to Wall Street and The World Trade Centre plus close to Battery Park and access to The Staten Island Ferry and tours for Statue of liberty.
Rooms are small but comfortable. There is water in the room each day which I found really useful. Free breakfast at this hotel offers a good start to the day.
The check-in and check-out went very smoothly.
When I return to New York I would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous location between the Seaport and Financial District. Downside is the lobby / elevator area can become very crowded during peak times. It's a narrow space that is designed and functions well, just too small for, especially when groups are coming or going. Rooms are small but function and clean. Staff attitudes vary widely from super friendly and helpful to clueless and borderline rude. That said, we've stayed here many times and will always consider it when we visit NYC.

The customer service was good. Like that there was breakfast and snacks during the daytime in lobby. I'll never stay here again due to the rooms are too small, it's not an easy hotel to find, didn't care for the location and far away from mostly all the attractions in the city. This hotel is close to Brooklyn bridge it was too late to change once realize there were two other Fairfield Inn in Midtown area

Excellent hotel! This was the perfect hotel for our 4 day stay in NYC, the beds were incredibly comfortable, breakfast was great and the staff were amazing! Little touches like a handwritten message on our first day and a smile from reception each morning made a big difference. We will definitely stay here again

Excellent hotel, excellent service, it has hot breakfast, cozy rooms, and a downstairs bar with happy hour!
The rooms are about what you'd expect from a Manhattan joint: they're space-efficient. For one person it's fine, for two people it's cramped.
Nevertheless, the rooms are cozy. They've got really nice beds, cable TV that can access your Netflix accounts, complimentary coffee and sweets all day, complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning, and a small gym. The staff is super friendly and they keep the place running smoothly.
As for location - it's about 20 minutes for all the cool locations in South Manhattan. It's perched in front of a (presumably) historic cobblestone road and next to the shore. Super convenient location.

My husband and I planned a 4day trip to nyc at another hotel we had to leave that hotel at 1am. As we stood on the street calling hotel after hotel to find a room we finley found Fairfield. Henry was working the desk that night, he did a great job getting us in.
This hotel was away from things we had planned for our stay but it was worth it. All of the staff was GREAT, especially those who worked the breakfast. I think if I asked them to feed me they would of...lol.I would definitely stay there again my next trip.

This is a great find right near the water and very close to the touristy parts of NYC. Mostly for business people, which is a good thing. You'll find the rooms are pretty small (standard on NY), but the service is Excellent! From the front desk to the bar tender, they make sure tour visit is comfortable and to your expectations. Beds are comfy, the breakfast is ample (and included in your room rate!), and some of the rooms have great views.

Pros-
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They we also accommodating.
The bed was comfortable.
The rooms were clean.
Good for the price.
Cons-
The room was smaller than expected. Pictures were a bit misleading .
The walls are thin.
Breakfast options for gluten free or vegan guests quite limited.
Too many flying bugs (gnats maybe) in the breakfast area.
Construction so loud.
Obstructed view from room, but fine if you have a busy itinerary.

Nice location if you need to be in lower Manhattan. Rooms are smaller than average but I only needed a place to stay while I attended a business conference. Breakfast was crowded but sufficient.

The Fairfield is a nice updated hotel. The rooms are small but spacious for New York City. They have a bar on premise with food. It is a little difficult to get to if you are in the midtown and uptown area, but not too hard. I'd recommend this hotel to singles and couples looking for a nice clean location to stay at in NYC at a reasonable price.

Very nice hotel. Clean. Very compact, however. Breakfast was okay, lots of options but most of it subpar. Definitely worth the price! The TVs were smart TVs so that was a huge plus. Very helpful and professional staff.

In short...The staff made it wonderful!
The room was clean clean clean. It was smaller than we are used to but big for New York. No bed bugs,no grime, just relief, and INCREDIBLE service!!!
Here are the Details:
We came down for breakfast and were warmly greeted by several staff including Victor, who were quick to refill food and make waffles for the many guests. It was packed and yet in a short time Victor and others made us each feel cared for and welcome.
Then Victor came over and handed my kids cute socks and treats to give their Daddy for Father's Day. When I explained we don't celebrate but we are celebrating our wedding anniversary he exclaimed that's wonderful and he must bring us some champagne for our room later!
Not only did he deliver chilled champagne and glasses with another very nice female staff member but they hand wrote a card to go with it.
But it doesn't end there. After a long day of exploring our weary children and us walked in to be greeted again by Victor I think heading home. Seeing our tired kids he put down his things and said "I have something! Just wait, just wait!" With a big smile he came back with a piece of fancy cake drizzled in chocolate with two spoons. My children's eyes lit up and they laughed and were once again happy and renewed. So were we! Because he also brought us chilled sparkling fancy water with glasses and limes. As they gobbled the treat he returned again with numerous goodies and little toys for the kids to have. Happy kids makes happy parents, and happy parents share the experience with others and rebook with the hotel!!
If you want more details this is How it started...
After staying the previous night outside the city in a massive room with riverside views I felt more and more clusterphobic as we got into NYC traffic. And then to enter a tiny lobby and even smaller elevator with green lights making us all look like aliens (which later we thought was funny).
Finally we get to our room but could not fit! Our luggage tumbled our kids running around our legs...I thought oh no!! What did we book?
But then I started my hotel check list:
sheets...no bed bugs and CLEAN
Bathroom toilet and floor...clean! And surprisingly spacious.
We opened the curtains and saw...well a wall and an alley but we did have privacy!
Once the suitcases for a family of four were rolled away we had more room and saw that it was indeed a good and CLEAN room.
Even when the shower seemed to not drain right a maintenance staff member came up right away. He checked it out then showed us that the drain has a valve closure knob, which I have never seen before, and he did not make us feel stupid as he explained.
Each day we returned tired but were welcomed by smiling helpful staff, cookies, and delicious cold lemon water in the lobby.
Plus, They kindly stored our luggage after checkout (not begrudgingly like another hotel we stayed at) so we could feed the kids at the water front restaurant just a block away. Then they had a taxi waiting ready for us when it was time to go to the airport.
Every staff there was kind and helpful. We WILL come again and send everyone we know.
Thank you Victor and many others. Thank you management for allowing the staff to be vibrant, happy, and stocked so they can do their job well.

The staff is great and make sure you order pizza from the place they suggest. It is good and not to expensive. Plus they deliver just call the guy who delivers "Mark" we named him that for ease. Lol. The only down fall is that the bar in the lobby closes early, but around the corner is a another bar that was fun and enjoyable.

This was the second time I stayed here and I had another great experience. The location is in a more quiet part of NYC (close to 9/11 memorial, brooklyn bridge). Staff were very friendly and accommodating (always greeting us, holding elevator doors for us, etc). My flight landed early in the morning and they gave my boyfriend and I no problems with early check in. The free breakfast was delicious in my opinion..I personally never expect much from a free breakfast and it was great. I recommend this hotel.

Small rooms (there's basically just a small walkway around the bed), but a fun nautical theme. Service is pretty good, all said and done. Free breakfast is a nice touch, and they had free cheese and crackers in the evening. OK location; could be closer to subways, but very close to the water. Views were not great, even from the 29th floor.

We recently stayed here and loved it. There was a group of 29 of us. Our rooms weren't grouped together which I didn't like, but was very happy with everything else. The service is amazing here. Every person we came in contact with was great. We loved the bar staff and breakfast help. Front desk was always there to help. We recommend this hotel to everyone. We will be back!

The views of this hotel are really nice. It is in a perfect location in Manhattan right beside the water (around 3 mins walking). The breakfast is amazing with variety of eggs, sausages, oatmeal, waffles, fruits.. Pretty much everything you find in a breakfast buffet. One cool aspect about this hotel is that it feels like you are in a cruise through its designs.

The rooms are really small (but typically so for Manhattan). Nice location for the Wall Street area. The view used to be great, but they built a high rise right next to the hotel and now there is a blank concrete wall right outside the window.

Great lower Manhattan location . We walked everywhere. From the Pier all the way to Central Park it's all close. Terrific staff, decent free breakfast and very safe feeling. People of Manhattan are Great, the tourists not so much.

Great comfortable hotel in a very convenient location for the historic seaport district. No food or snacks, the free breakfast is tasty but the available seating space is very limited. Overall a very good experience, the front desk staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

I'm here now and love this place. My son and I are now eating breakfast. I wish they had whole milk but its okay . I had two bowls of oatmill. The staff is great friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but that's New York. Location is great 7min walk to the subway to 42nd street Fulton and Williams train station. Not far from the water and some shopping. This is our second time staying here. And there is a mid-town comic book store on Fulton for my 14 year old son.

Very well located, stone throw from Brooklyn bridge and very good accessability to metro. The room was very neat and clean, nice big bathroom. Also you can make your own pancakes for breakfast and very good fruit options. Personnel extremely friendly. It has a very fast elevator.

A Fantastic Hotel with even Better Staff!! It's conveniently located in Downtown Manhattan and very close to a lot of tourist attractions. Breakfast in the mornings are Great!! Rooms are clean and we had just an overall Awesome Stay!!

It's near The Dead Rabbit. That alone makes it one of my favorite NYC hotels.
What a great staff! --This is where they shine. The rest of the hotel experience is at least above average for the FI&S brand.

A bit small, but mostly expected when staying in the city. The desk itself is small but functional. I wish there was better lighting in the room and on the desk in particular, it would make the desk a better environment to get stuff done otherwise it feels dark.
-Location-
Great location if you need to be anywhere in lower Manhattan. As of September 2017, there is significant construction going on around this hotel. There was a new skyscraper going up next door so some views will be blocked depending on your room.
-Service-
Great staff and service. The included breakfast has plenty of choices with hot food such as bacon and eggs.

Fantastic staff that recognized we were travelling with our 15 month old and made every accommodation to help our stay be more comfortable. Victor and the guest services manager (I'm sorry I've forgotten your name!) were amazing. Victor got me a bunch of goodies, like bottled water and cheerios for our little one. When my hands were too full to operate the elevator, he personally escorted me upstairs all the way to our front door. The hotel was cozy (as NYC hotels are), exceptionally clean and convenient to South St. Seaport with nearby parking at a garage.

Definitely a big thumbs up for the staff. Also, I like the breakfast they provided very much. Although they are common items, they come with high quality. Also, I like the fact that I can also get a cup of coffee from the hotel (either from the lounge or on the snack bar in the front). The room is nice and clean. Typical size of New york. The only down side to me is that the room does not have any view. It's blocked by another building (which is in construction right now). I was thinking maybe the higher floor could get a better view. But one day I went to the pier behind the hotel and I realized that most of the room are blocked by the building next to it. And the hotel doesn't have any windows toward the pier. What a pity. The location is very good. TKTS nearby and liberty state cruise, charging bull, world trade center are in the walking distance (5~10 minutes). Recommended!

This was our first stay here and it was great. The room was a bit small, but otherwise clean and comfortable. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and pleasant. They offer breakfast that was also great! Would definitely stay here again.
