I loved my time at Equinox Tribeca! The coaches are knowledgeable and the members are so fun and inclusive. I really liked their focus on technique and safety - something important to me as a beginner lifter. Would recommend Equinox Tribeca to anyone!!

This location is small, but spotless clean with a large sauna and plenty of showers post workout. I would recommend if you don't need over complicated equipment.

Ok, so as a disclaimer, I'm posting these reviews for my reference. I have an All Access Membership, and I want to visit as many of these as I can, to see which one I like most/would like to go to.
My interests are powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, swimming, so my review will be geared towards that.

For comparison's sake, I have been to the following so far:
Equinox West 92nd
Equinox West 76th
Equinox Highline
Equinox East 63rd
Equinox Columbus Circle
Equinox Park Avenue
Equinox Flatiron
Equinox Gramercy

This one is pretty disappointing, at least for the location. One floor, it is a big floor. It is also decently spaced, it doesn't feel too crowded, but you do have to navigate through machines and people.

Out of 10:
Size: 5
Luxury: 6
Equipment: 7

Average gym I use when I am in town. I am there later in the day so there isn't a wait usually. Other clients have mentioned some of the staff is rude, but I don't interact with them often and they generally seem ok.

The maintenance manager has no communication and a good relationship from manager to maintenance employees staff ... he isn't friendly, he isn't understandable, he does not have a friendly relationship to ask for things. (don't unit for make a team of work, he isn't organizational, he need training)

i would not recommend this gym to anyone
the floor "trainers" NEVER DO ANYTHING except hang out and talk to each other-the show you NOTHING

the locker room is NOT kept clean

1/2 the time the showers and bathrooms are dirty with the floor wet

some of the members are slobs that just throw or leave their towels and garbage on the floor and it can take hours before anything is picked up by the staff

you need to call them at least four (4) times before any manager will even speak to you and everyone else knows NOTHING

I could go on but do NOT understand their supposedly high ratings or their high rates per/mo

What a nasty place! I was there- evening of Jan 2, 2017- checking in at the reception- and this guy- walking really fast and talking to the staff sitting in their cubicles behind him- bumps into me so hard he sends me reeling. Worse- he is smaller than me- so his head hits my nose so hard I see stars!

Everyone noticed- no one said anything. There was suddenly total silence. Talk of the three monkeys- no one came to help. I go to the locker rooms completely shaken- more by the attitude of the staff than anything else. I spoke to one of the trainers and he suggested that I tell the front desk manager about it. He came down with me and called the manager-Jose Taveras- and it turns out that this face butting person is actually a staff member at Equinox. So Jose fills out an incident report and gives it to me. Since then, I have reached out to various folks at the reception- even spoken with the general manager-Brittany Constantine who disclaimed any knowledge of this incident- and the general attitude is hostile. Talk of loyalty or just plain lack of professionalism- I do not understand their behavior at all.

What I love is the fact that I am actually a very old member of Equinox- been with them since 2002.

I've been a member for over 5 years. I've had great experiences with equinox clubs around Manhattan where I live as well as in California where I travel frequently for work. I am sorry to say that the front desk staff is anything but welcoming and accommodating. For my $250 a month membership, is it too much to ask to have someone treat you in a friendly manner?

Love it.

Best gym in NYC and they will make you pay for it

Just joined this Equinox and I loved it. I've tried a few Equinox gyms while out in LA and a few in NYC and comparatively, I really like this facility. I can see the trainers and staff being very personable, and Brielle Mach was super friendly and attentive during the sign up phase. Now I can eat all the pizza I want.

You have to WATCH YOUR BACK with this club. I lived in the building at 50 Murray and purchased a one year contract, paid in full up front. I made it clear that I was moving overseas in the middle of the contract and was assured that I would get a refund for any time remaining that was not used .The contract clearly states that if you move over 50 miles from one of their locations, you can cancel and get a refund. When the time came, they didn't ask for much proof of my new address, just a copy of my plane ticket overseas. Now I think that they didn't care about proof because they had no intention of refunding the money anyway. 3 months have passed. My first inquiry was handled by a manager who literally told me that "my check was in the mail." A month later I called again and got a different manager who readily admitted that they owed me $500 and said it would take 5-10 business days to get a refund. That time has passed with no refund, and now I get a runaround when I call. They seem to think that they can keep the money because I have no recourse now that I've moved. I had been a member of the club in the past and had never had a problem before, but I would have to advise you to be very careful about every paying them anything up front. You might want to consider joining somewhere else. I will say that their yoga studio was really nice. Their aerobics machines however do not have their own dedicated TVs. Even the smaller Tribeca Fitness club around the corner has that. For the money, unless you're into yoga, this is not a good choice.
