I've tried to cancel my membership since February, I was given the runaround. At one point a manager was called he came out, looked at me and went back to his office. Clearly avoiding the situation. I was charged month of and overage fee because I didn't cancel on time and my bank declined payment. I was told to call and speak with Alberto, when i did call " You need to cancel in person, or certified mail" and hung up, no pleasantry, no desire to keep me as a customer. I went back I spoke to the supervisor of the gym and boy did I get the worst customer service. Unpleasant, unfriendly and very defensive. I cancelled my membership and when i told him i was charged February and a surcharge, he said "Ill take care of it." In any other customer service location an "I'll take care of it," means i'll waive the fee. Two days later i see the charges on my credit card. Fine I'll leave them with $41.60, wont hurt my budget. It is now April 6th, guess what Crunch Fitness and ABC Financial STILL WANT TO CHARGE ME $41.60. It is clear they have no control over their memberships and charges. AS over used and unnecessary as this comment may seem believe me I know what I'm talking about. " I work in customer service, been in this industry for over 10 years, if a customer wants to cancel their services you always try to recover before the customer ultimately makes their final decision. You never let them go without attempted recovery, nor do you ignore and belittle your main source of income." If you choose this gym make sure you know that you will have a hard time cancelling and then the ordeal to finally get them off your back will be long.
