I am an outdoor runner and my BF is a big gym person, so we went to LA fitness to grab him a membership. Danny and Charlie helped us find a solution where my guy can be a gym rat while I work out at the gym from time to time. The gym has everything I need and then some, a sauna, is clean... Not crazy loud and full of dudes trying to show off.
It is a good space and I am excited to use the facilities.
Just stepped in to check this gym out and got fully surprised with the staff being fully engaged. The staff helped me right away and got me to the man of the hour Charlie, he knew exactly what I need and helped me with everything I wanted to have a great deal. Great place to come check out! CLEAN ! NICE PEOPLE! What else can you ask for! Ready for this journey at LA Fitness!
I had to take the time to write this review because I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of both Carlos (Charlie) the GM and Danny. I had been toying with the idea of joining a gym for a while now and had spoken over the phone to Carlos at least five times. In addition, I had phoned and visited four other local gyms however was not impressed with the facilities, equipment, staff, or atmosphere. Every time I called and spoke to Carlos he was patient, informative, and took the time to explain the different plan options. He encouraged me to come in for a tour of the facilities. After two visits to the gym I knew it would be a great fit for me. The place was impeccable, the staff was friendly, and again both Carlos and Danny were AMAZING!!!!! I am happy to report after much research and tours of four local gyms, talking to staff members, and current gym members, I have joined the North Bergen LA Fitness. I would highly recommend this location to anybody especially because of Carlos and Danny.

I'm so happy that I came here. Was ecstatic to see Charles Fernandez who I knew from the Secaucus Signature location to be the new GM of The north Bergen location and he's always available for any issues. The club is clean. Showers are spotless, I can walk around barefoot! And there's a second punching bag! That's my cherry on top!
This gym has been here for over 20 years. Bally first and now LA Fitness. Some of the equipment has been there for 20 years. And women in the men's locker room is a common occurrence and no big deal to anyone there. Dark and dungeon like.

Realmente no entiendo si cancelas el mismo mes que haces la membresia,en mi caso por falta de tiempo no podia ir frecuente y cancele. Pero no te devuelven el dinero que pagas,cuabdo hice la membersh pague el primer mes y el ultimo ademas de dos meses de daycare( mi hijo nunca se quedo en el daycare) . Esperaba la devolucion del ultimo mes q me cobraron Pero me dijeron q no era possible. Por lo demad las classes de Zumba son excelentes. Pero no Esto de acuerdo en q no te devurlvan ese dinero.

The equipment is really old, they have some new stuff upstairs, but they really need to upgrade the equipment on the first floor. The location is not so great, it is kind of hidden, which make it kind of hard to find. The service is not so good as we can expect from that place.
This place has everything you need in order to accomplish your goal. Deadlifts, Squat rack, free weights galore. The people that complain about this gym are probably the ones that are on their cellphones snap chatting the entire time during their "workout". I recommend this gym for serious gains.
Used to be Ballys and they didn't bother replacing / rebranding the dumbbell weights...that set the tone of this place. The gym is in bad need of renovation. Equipment is old, rusty, and dirty. Not well maintained, the weights are all over the place, couldn't find the dumbbells I needed. The staff is not cleaning up the weights or refilling the towels, just sitting chatting and looking at their phones. Not impressed at all. This place feels like a high school gym...not a membership funded gym. The salesperson did a switch and bait scheme on us, offered one deal but forget he sent us by email a better deal. Totally lost my trust and I am not ever coming back. Crunch was worse by comparison or maybe equal.
Was shopping around for a gym with wife and took tour on Sat 11/11. Place smelled pretty bad on the second floor but the sales/gym instructor attitude was worse. Because we didn't want to take membership that day, the douche bag said to go to a $10 gym.
Worst experience ever. At the time of freezing the account, I wast informed that I have to pay 10$ monthly fee, the staff was so irresponsible in informing the clients about this and I had to pay for 3 month's. Very bad management
I had a guest pass and manager from the club called me and asked what time I'd come. I said I was with the baby and was interested in the babysitting and that I'd come at 3 pm. When I arrived there, he said that the kids club was closed from 12pm to 5pm. I asked - Why did you tell me to come at 3 then, and he said - Come back at 5.
I came the next morning. This is the WORST baby club ever. Room with no windows, ZERO toys, just walker for younger babies, table and chairs. Kids just sit there and watch TV. They don't play or even talk there. The lady who was supposed to watch after kids was on her computer.
Club's manager name is Percival N and oh what a coincidence someone with the same name left a 5 star review on Yelp.
I don't care about outdated machines (what else do you expect for $30/mo), you can still workout, but babysitting is horrible there.
Staff can barely lift their heads up from there phone to great guest . Staff definitely needs to learn how to answer the phone without saying "Hey" like they are at home . Equipment has repair needed signs on them for weeks at a time. If I wasn't on an old contact from 14 years ago I would go to Crunch Gym down the block . Spin Bikes have paper towels underneath them to balance them out .
