Best gym ever! To me the bathroom is very important anywhere I go, and the bathroom in this location is spotless. They have everything you need, from lotion to towels, to different equipment, different classes, they even have a dryer machine for your swimwear. Staff is always on the move, Christina and Patricia were very friendly and helpful with everything.
I love this gym! There are a variety of different machines available and the staff there is very friendly and accessible. One of the staff members especially, Christian, was nice enough to provide me information about the gym and pricing. He made me feel comfortable and excited about joining! Would definitely recommend to anyone!
If I wanted a cross fit gym would have joined cross fit. Because they had to change like it did, it is just super tight, no space and they got rid of a few machines I loved using ....the ab crunch machine while sitting down which seem like most popular makes no sense they got rid of both..but hey let's make it geared to cross fit...looks like I will be switching the gym up the street .
I love this gym. I've been to a lot of gyms and this is the best one so far. So clean and well organized. The employees are so nice! very welcoming! Thanks to John for helping me!

Worst customer service ever!! The night shift "manager" named Fernando Pitta has to go back to customer service training (I hardly doubt he ever got any training to begin with). I went to this club and he was very rude, did not allow my guest to come in. He said he was tired of customers saying that they would join the gym after the free guest past and then not join at the end of the workout. I decided to subscribe my guest as a family member, since Fernando did not allowed the guest pass (although we downloaded it from the internet) he didn't sign my guess up, he was giving us the most expensive rates. I asked for his name, he did not give me his name, I had to search it online. Fernando mentioned he had plenty of things to do other than take care of us. A person like this should NOT be dealing with customers. After he noticed how bad he was treating us, he decided to lower the rates...The guy at the front desk during the night shift, was very rude as well. I have been a member of this health club for 7 years and have never had any issues with no one at this health club. I have brought so many customers to this facility and did not appreciate the horrible treatment. UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... STAY AWAY!
don't enroll to any personal training ..nothing against the trainers but the contract they will tell you one thing in pen explaining you the program and sign your initial here and there and if you read the whole thing is completely different of what they explained. other thing I said I want one two months and they signed you into a annual contract . They will even take the money 4 days before the due day. 25 min. when it was an hour they will tell but is 30 min cardio of your own. 25 min training for 65 dollars and then they you you can not end the contract before the year when they tell you you have to come before the month ends but happens to be that no one is there and the others can not help you(and is an annual contract )so, please do not pay that. The zumba classes professors do not have good signal and song are interrupted
I just read many of the reviews. My husband is a member and very proud Black Man! Based on the recent reviews, I am going to encourage him to cancel his membership. I will also put the word out to all my black brothers and sisters to stay away from this racist gym!!

I travel for work, I lift all over the world and this gym made such an impression I had tp write a review.
The gym itself is large, and has lots of top end gear. All the good stuff. lots of space, lots of weight, and the actual equipment is surprisingly well maintained.
The HUGE downside of this gym is the culture of the gym. Slobs.
I've been lifting for over 40 years and this might be the messiest, sloppiest gym I have ever seen.
There is a culture here that pretty much no one re-racks weights.
The dumbell rack is the biggest joke of a dumbell rack I have ever seen.
I literally walked around the gym for 10 minutes trying to find a pair of anything. A pair of 25s,,, count on a 10minute walk around.
No one,,, no one re racks weights. I found dumbells all over the gym looking for pairs. The dumbells that were in the rack,,, were usually singles. Grab one of your choice,,, and go hunting for a 2nd one.
They have lots of nice Hammer Strength gear. I did not walk up to one of those nice machines that anyone had stripped afterward. Every machine was left exactly how the previous user left it. The weight trees usually had weights laying on the floor near it.
You can also pretty much count on that no machine was wiped down after the last person finished. How can you know that you ask,,, there are no wipes,,,, nor is there any spray to wipe down anything when you are done. Bring a towel. How could it get this bad,,, I'd assume complete apathy on the staffs side. There was not one employee walking the floor. No one cleaning up. The person at the front desk was sitting there playing with their phone. Ifthe mgt doesnt give a **** why should the patrons.
I did see some people re-rack, usually the big guys who have brought gym etiquette up from years of lifting. The gym-bros who are built like "Y"s so that they look good in their Gap T Shirts at clubs,,, just walks away from everything. I watched it happed for two days. I dont know if LA Fitness are franchised independently, or controlled by the mother ship, but this one needs a housecleaning at the genetic level and a new staff and culture installed. Its too bad, because the facility itself is excellent, or could be.

They are good machines, but the employee of the front desk does not have a good attitude towards customers, and that is very important since it is who receives the ones we pay
Disgusting gym. I been coming here for years and it keeps getting worse. The management is terrible. Its 85 degrees out and their AC has been broken for 2 weeks. someone will eventually get a heart attack in this place and sue this company.
Very unpleasant staff. Not at all personable and oftentimes rude. There are a few nice staff members but the overall environment is toxic. I wish there was an option less than 1star.

*CONS*: The restrooms and lockers are dirty, several times cleaning solution to wipe down area were empty, the "Personal Training" room that never has any personal trainers are off limits as well as the large amount of equipment in that room.
Also I've had a nasty experience with a front desk member as soon as my boyfriend and I walked in he gave us dirty looks, he was not courteous, and needed a lesson on proper customer service (also I think he had an issue with our appearance together we were an interracial couple); there was one young woman that's always there at front desk she's awesome!
I prefer to take my money elsewhere management needs to reevaluate their business structure as well as make this a more client focused gym.

A member here this is a nice gym, nice people working here.. I wish some of the reviews post actual reviews of the gym instead of ranting about the treatments of certain groups of people.. While that was wrong I think this it not the correct platform.. I wish google will start cleaning up irrelevant reviews and leave the ones that truly help people..

The incident that just happened in your fitness center about the young black man having a membership for years. Then police was called on him for no reason. You all will definitely be sued. I hope that termination of his membership was worth the money you are about to lose. All this was about 8s the color of his skin and LA Fitness could not find anything wrong, so they terminated his membership. Wow. Well, they will be able to buy plenty of memberships with the money you all are about to lose lol

I like the gym and the machines but I must say the place is a mess. 1/2 of the people don't rerack their weights and the staff doesn't even bother reracking the weights that are all over the gym. The bathroom have dirty towels all over the floors and the lockers need a good scrub down. The sauna is great if it's not out of service because people love pouring water on the electrical heater. I have also hear the pool and jacuzzi is dirty and there is mold on the borders.
The staff seem only worried about getting new members signed up. It's a shame because the size , parking and location of the gym are great. Anyway I hope someone reads this and gets this gym back to the way it was years ago.
The staff are unprofessional . They lie about putting you on a contract. They also lie about you being able to downgrade. Also over charged. Stay away and save yourself a headache. Not worth it. General manager Gino has no idea what he talking about.
After visiting another LA Fitness, I am thankful that Charlie Fernandez is at the Secaucus location. He stays on top of everything making sure the weights are racked and everything is clean. The other facility was brand new but not nearly as well kept or orderly run.
It was the closest one from Midtown Manhattan but it wasnt worth the trip.. we were let in for free, because I didn't have the signature club feature on my membership. Either way, It wasnt worth the toll. It wasn't worth changing clothes into a swimsuit for. The whirlpool was not warm. The temperature in the whirlpool was similar to that of the swimming pool... And it was dirty. There was an obvious dirt ring surrounding the top of the whirlpool. when I told the manager about the temperature he said "what do u expect, for someone who got in for free".. smh. I don't suggest you waste your time with this location.

I've had a horrible experience. I was going to join and the manager, or whoever the hell I met came to show me around the rubbish they have. The prices are bloody astronomical and the staff is very unprofessional. The guy who showed me around made me feel uneasy and very uncomfortable. He asked me retarded questions about personal information and kept insisting on irrelevant points. The manager mentioned that they have a selected group of individuals. It was funny because you should see him and how selected he was to manage such a place. What a waste for a wonderful location. I wouldn't be surprised if they will go bankrupt soon.
We went there to sign up and were given an EXTREMELY hard sell even though we told them that we wanted a membership. We literally walked in the door intending to purchase and left because the level of pushing was uncomfortable.
To make things worse, they made us sign up for a free trial before they would even talk to us. Part of the requirement was that we give our phone number (and since we thought that we were signing up for a membership, we gave the real number). We indicated on the form that we do not want to receive calls and to exclude our number from any lists, however they did not honor the request.
We gave my business phone number and I have been getting dozens of sales calls asking for my wife by name. The only time that she has ever been associated with my business phone number is when we were signing up for LA Fitness.
In addition, we received approximately 5 calls from LA Fitness sales people after we specifically told them not to call us.
Avoid this place. They do not honor requests for privacy.
Not sure what has changed at this location, but for a gym that calls their gym "signature". Far from it. I've been a member for over 5 years, and strongly considering canceling my membership. Bathrooms are disgusting, looks like they're never cleaned or replenished! Showers..... same as bathroom. Curtains filled with moled, and horrible. Something needs to change, management or take signature out of your title.
