Membership officially un-paused! So grateful to be back fully vaxxed. Felt really good, but I have a lot of catching up to do.
Working out with my gym instructor is a highlight of my week. She is enthusiastic, motivating, and knowledgeable about all things fitness. She is completely in tune with my goals and pushes me to meet them. She is very creative in progressing sessions, making them fun and challenging at the same time. Thank you for the motivation!
There are many personal trainers out there, but few personal trainers who have as vast an amount of specialized & diverse training, knowledge, experience sensitivity & dedication to her clients as my gym instructor. I highly recommend her for good reason.
I liked my trainer, he's professional in all ways. He helped me a lot on that day since I really wanted to be sexier this year. Equipment is in good condition, people are nice to one another like in a friendly community. Highly recommended!
Thomas and Nate, who are the founders, are some of the best instructors that I've had. They are super nice and have impeccable memory (they remembered my name after meeting me just once and remembered my previous injuries). During the workouts, they explain everything in great detail and demonstrate how movements should be done. They are quick to correct your form and also offer up alternatives in the event that you have an injury or cannot do the movement for whatever reason.
I've been a member of HHF off and on since they opened (we've moved in and out of the area over the years) and have always loved it. I enjoy the group fitness classes, especially Sebaj's kettlebell classes. The facility is clean and pleasant to be in, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond for members. Highly recommended!
My husband and I recently moved to Jersey City and have been using HHF. I have enjoyed the classes I have taken so far (Stretch & Release with Brenda) & (Water Bootcamp with Eddie). Both were great pre-natal classes that I highly recommend! Now that our baby is here - I'm excited to utilize the sauna and more cardio intensive classes! I would highly recommend HHF to anyone looking for a clean, well equipped and versatile gym!
I was introduced to HHF through the manger Gigi and was given a tour by the owner. The facility is well equipped, beautiful and spotless. It has everything to offer that you would find in a chain gym but with lots of personal touches that make it very unique. All in a very nice location with a neighborhood feel. As a local chiropractor I love that HFF is here and will not hesitate to recommend to my patients. Bonus...plenty of parking!
Great, clean club. Friendly, helpful staff and instructors. Lots of group classes to mix into a work out routine plus a pool! What more can you ask for?
I have been a member of this gym for a few years. And I must say, it gets better and better. TRX class with Daniel is DYNAMITE . He is full of energy and super motivational. He has inspired me to come to class and meet my goals!!!

I would like to amend my initial review that can still be read below. After this incident occurred and was noted by management personnel, one of their team reached out to me both via phone call and email to personally apologize for how the situation was handled. The woman was incredibly sincere and extremely professional, then offering me several free day passes to come back and use the facilities including the pool. Since then I have been back to HHF and really enjoyed my time there. The employees have been helpful and pleasant, and the pool is a great amenity that is hard to find in urban gyms. I definitely recommend them to anyone in the area and will likely look into membership information down the road as well!
ORIGINAL REVIEW (redacted): Very poor customer service. I am a Class Pass member and have went to several yoga and spin classes here which have been decent and the gym itself is nice. However, today I had signed up for the Adult Open Lap Swim and when I arrived was told it was for club members only. That policy makes sense to me, yet I felt that since they had been careless enough to list it as an available amenity to sign up for on Class Pass they should have rectified the situation by making an exception for this circumstance since it was due to their own fault and not mine. I am 33 weeks pregnant, it is near 90 degrees outside and I had walked almost half a mile to come to their facility then was turned away with nothing more than a meek apology and a refund of my credits, but no way to get that time back from my day or enough time to schedule a work out somewhere else. Their other classes are not so exceptional as to make up for the inadequate handling of this situation and I definitely will no longer be giving them my business through Class Pass or ever consider a membership there.
I should have joined this gym a long time ago! Amazing choices of classes and great instructors! The selection of machines is good. The steam room and sauna rooms are superb after a nice swim session in the pool!

Great boutique gym! Everything you need for a serious workout but the classes are what really shine (some of the best pilates instructors anywhere). Also love that there's a pool!

do not take your kids there, it's a waste of time and money. The lady in charge gives you the run around. Bad service. I would not i say i do not reccommend anybody here. They are very racist, rude, and money hungry.

Small boutique gym with friendly and helpful staff. As others have noted, it's not large, not stocked with a plethora of equipment, nor cheap, but it is clean, and the machines / equipment are in decent shape. Space can get tight especially at peak hours. Would love to see a universal apparatus with a seat to allow for lat pull downs and dates rows.
This is a crap gym. Highly overpriced for the value you get. First thing is space crunch. In most gyms you will have a vast area covering various equipment but this place has select equipment all clogged up together in a small camp. Second, the pilates and yoga are a joke as most of the classes are held during the day. Third, the swimming pool is too small to accommodate even upto 6 adult swimmers at a time. Fourth, the shower room is a joke. Their shower stops every 2 minutes so if you have applied soap then wait for the next jet of water to remove the soap then again a 2 minute break on the water jet from the shower. Fifth, there is literally no room for warm up. Only 1 person can stretch at a time so you better keep waiting for that area to be available next. This place is only good for housewives or men who live around this place else nothing unique about them except their eucalyptus fragrance all over the gym.
This place is a hidden gem! They have new and extremely clean facilities. It's the little things...well-maintained equipment, white-cotton robes in the dressing rooms, men's and women's saunas, great showers. (That came in really handy when the landlord didn't fix my water for a week, and I went to the gym every day to work out a little and then shower/clean up. It was a great routine, and I really came to appreciate how important it is having a nice shower facility.) Every week for the past 12 months I've gone to kettlebell (a cross between strength training and yoga--not offered at all gyms!) and I highly recommend it. Not that I have any kids, but it also has downstairs child care, which seems to be very popular. The people I've met here have become part of my Jersey City community. As far as value for price, you're not going to find a better deal in this area.
