I love this yoga studio! It is way more then just a workout. I love open class that includes mantra, meditation and yoga itself.

Life changing !!! Incredible place with dedicated instructors & caring staff. Not only are practice rooms beautiful, the entire place is immaculate. The schedule is packed with approx 70 classes a week that I can drop into on my way in and out of the city. Grove St PATH is a block and half away and the app makes it easy to find a class.
I'd been practicing yoga on and off for about 10 yrs but this studio and these caring people worked to help me create a regular yoga and meditation practice. The hands on and mindful assists are what sets this practice apart from other studios. Increased focus, strength, stamina and better sleep are just a few of the benefits. I highly recommend beginning a dedicated practice at Jivamukti JC. Oh, and the community is great, I've made friends for life here!

I have been practicing yoga with Jivamukti instructors for over 6 years and I love it. They pay attention to form and offer gentle correction which makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in my practice. Poses that were impossible to imagine when I started are now part of my regular practice.

The students who practice at Jivamukti Yoga Jersey City are the most wonderfully diverse group I've ever seen at a studio. Energetic, enthusiastic and always willing to learn. No one will feel out of place in this spiritually uplifting space.

I love Mohawk!!. I recently moved from the area and will miss it a ton. Best studio in Jersey City, NJ, no doubt about it.

Amazing beautiful yoga studio with knowledgeable teachers and staff. I have always found them helpful and and kind.

If you are looking for a style of yoga that has foundations for beginner basic yoga or more advanced yoga this is it. I went to the basic classes for 4 weeks before trying the Open classes.

I have not tried the aerial yoga classes but it looks and sounds like fun.

The studio owners Bob and Austin are super nice guys and very supportive of the students and the Jersey City community as a whole. Its one of the few yoga studios I have been to that is very diverse in its members. I like that being a person of color.

I only took one class here, which was okay but not great. I signed up through ClassPass and usually when I go to a new studio, I get a little tour and / or explanation of how class works and where the bathrooms are. At the very least, I get a nice greeting. When I walked in, the person at the front desk was having a conversation with another student, which made me think this place was welcoming. However, the person at the front desk proceeded to ignore me for a few minutes while I awkwardly waited to check in. It was just unprofessional and made me feel like an outsider, which is pretty rare for a yoga studio.

The class itself was okay, the instructor went through some of the poses a little too quickly and was definitely catering to the other 2 or 3 students who were regulars. Again, I felt like an outsider.

The experience overall wasn't good enough to make me want to come back. I didn't feel very welcome and the staff was unprofessional.

Also, if you scroll down, you'll notice the owner trolling only negative posts in a very confrontational and unprofessional way. If you have a bad experience with a business, why wouldn't they try to make it up to you and see if they can make the relationship work? It's not that hard to swallow your pride and apologize, even if you don't think you're wrong. I'm a customer service professional and do this all the time. And guess what? I have never ended a relationship with a customer on bad terms, even if the communication begins on a negative note.

I am not at all a yoga person, exercise person or someone who would attend a group class. But Jivamukti changed me completely... Jivamukti has changed my life.. It has such a positive impact on my body and mind that I can't live without it.
I would strongly recommend Jivamukti Yoga center to all who are really interested in YOGA. There is no other place like Jivamukti at least in JC in terms of ambiance, instructors and method of teaching.

Thanks to Austin and Bobby!!!

I feel very disappointed in this practice. It feels that the vibe and customer service vary day to day, depending on when you go and who you interact with. I have been going for a few months, off an on, and was happy with it, especially based on proximity to my home.

My friend recently moved here and I have been trying to convince her to join with me. They go through the packages and hand the infamous free class coupon.

She meets me after work, but she forgot the coupon at home. DUN DUN DUUUUUUN!!! We take one from the counter and explain we spoke to so-and-so and blah and blah and she immediately shuts us down and says it's policy, you have to go get the one from home. Class starts in 4mins. Fine, whatever.

We spoke to someone after the class and were explaining that we paid for the class, and before we finish our sentence the instructor rolls their eyes and says "no refunds, you need the coupon here at time of class for it to be free, sorry" and starts to walk away when the question was if the fact she paid would influence her New Student status and the rate for the month as a new student. We left and she said she'd call.

We talk few days later and she says she called and spoke to someone and laughs that when she brought up the paying since she forgot the coupon, she was cut off AGAIN about how there were no refunds. She said she just spoke over him until the actual question was out.

He said she was still eligible for the New Student discount but she had to go in THAT DAY or he couldnt help her. She didnt, missed their hours that day, and has since decided to join a practice closer to the PATH. That is wasn't "worth the hassle. If they act like this over $22 imagine if there was a real problem." And she's right.

I get it. I own a business. But there is such a thing as customer service and I would gladly honor a coupon, that I have a stack of, for someone that is about to give me months of income. I am so bummed out about this whole experience and will be joining my friend at the PATH located practice once my package runs out here.

Amazing teachers in a comfortable space. They genuinely care about you and the community in Jersey City. They have many workshops a month including live music. The aerial yoga classes are wonderful for the student looking to broaden the yoga practice in a fun way. Hanging upside down in a hammock is delightful.

Having developed injuries over the years from doing Crossfit and Martial Arts, I was searching for something that would help my body and still provide a workout. Very happy to say I've found the best place.

After trying several Yoga studios, I'm happy to have found a home a Jivamukti. While a lot of places practice yoga, I've never found another school that really teaches it. The instructors are all top notch and go above and beyond with all the students to make sure you are doing everything correctly.

I've actually learned yoga here and have really helped my body along the way. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned vet this is the place for you.

Besides just the physical benefits I'm also happy to share the mental and emotional benefits. There is mindfulness practice in every class and it has really helped me with my focus and generally decreasing stress.

I can't recommend this place enough.

My husband and I have started to regularly take classes at this establishment.
He started before me as a recommendation from his doctor, and I quickly joined to spend time with him, and try out a class I have always been interested in, ariel yoga.
What an incredible experience. The owners, and all the different teachers we have encountered are not only knowledgeable, but passionate about theirs and our experience's in the studio. They have classes ranging in all levels and focuses, including my new favorite, ariel yoga. I have done yoga before, but these teachers, and this studio has really opened a new passion for me, with ariel yoga.
