Only reason I'm not rating one star is the saving grace of some of the Retro workers. I've both worked and been attending this gym for years. Not going into details but really upset with the way the management has been handled here.
Equipment is great very clean! Staff is friendly and very helpful! I love this gym!

The convenience, the affordability (and what I get for it), the friendly staff, just so many things are great about Retro! People are friendly and respectful too, which is so incredibly appreciated. Also I really love just how spacious the Retro in North Arlington is, I've been to a few others and the layouts just seemed so cramped and uncomfortable. I love getting there when it's not busy, makes me feel like I have the whole gym to myself.

Friendly atmosphere/ fellow members, very clean gym, nice staff behind the counter, hot chicks for dat dere eye candy, and some flamboyant bald jacked guy running around in colorful tights jumping on things... so pretty everything you could ask for. Except they need a better water fountain.

STAFF & MANAGER ARE GREAT. AM THANKFUL FOR ALEX WHO IS THE MANAGER, VERY HELPFUL, AND KIND.
LOTS OF EQUIPMENT AND BOXING AREA.

The best Retro I've been to. Everyone is friendly, it's clean, smells great and there's enough equipment to where you won't have to wait to get your workout on. Love the cardio room and the TRX machine. 5 star status all the way!!!!

Love the protein shakes they make. Sales associates and manager are great. Always welcoming me with a smile. I love spending my lunch breaks here! So glad I left LA fitness

Really nasty manager. Employees and owner are friendly but the one manager is a real jerk.

Great facility. I love taking the body burn with the younger trainer and Zumba with all of the instructors. Place is always clean and smells good at all times. Staff and manager are so friendly to me every time I come to the counter. I enjoy being a member here. Referring all my family and friends here!!
I've been a member of this gym for over 2.5 years. When I first joined I was coming only once in a while as a regular member but as I got comfortable I started coming more frequently. They have tons of machines, a decent size stretching area, treadmills with a great view of the NYC skyline, tanning, classes and shakes, drinks and snacks. There is also plenty of spots to park. This year I decided to upgrade my membership to VIP so all classes, tanning and child care are included. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They always go above and beyond to accommodate me and make me feel welcomed. Alex, the manager is always able to answer any questions I have and maintains a professional facade at all times. The pricing for both memberships are very affordable. I would highly recommend this gym!

Absolutely terrible experience with this establishment. I handed in my key tag and cancelled my membership back in May via e-mail as laid out in their contract, and it is now July and I am still seeing attempts for charges on my card and also a ton of spam phone calls and emails asking for billing information. This is stressful as it is and I would never recommend this gym for anyone because of this experience with cutting ties to this gym. I can't even "use my membership" since I handed in my key tag yet I am being charged every month. Unreal.
