I wish there were better options for gyms in Staten Island. It could be a great place, but the staff could use some customer service training. It is very pricey for what you get. The outdoor pool is ok, but always crowded and no place for little ones to play. The website is not easy to navigate. Their yoga equipment is always disorganized and in bad shape.
The cafe is great with amazing prices and a wide variety.
Walked in there with.my.small 4lb dog and they acted like it was some kind of monster.there was.no reason for him to act the way he did she was in my arms the whole time and not one person had a problem with her being there if so then i would have taken her out but the only person that had a problem was.him.

we had to wait 30 min for clean towels. bathroom and shower area not too clean.

Great gym. Suana , pool steamroom. Plenty of equipment. Never a wait. Personal trainers, yoga, spin class aqua aerobics. Very clean. Top flight gym

Prices are competitive, but the staff is unaccommodating and disagreeable. I discontinued my membership because of the curmudgeon Ben Z specifically. He was horrible to deal with from an administrative standpoint and completely unaccommodating. He made me feel like a schmuck when I asked for a simple family discount. A simple "no" would have sufficed. I don't recommend this JCC to anyone unless you want to feel like a chazerei. Such a schande to have someone like him in the community.
