I enjoy going to the gym it's clean and it's not overcrowded and the trainers are pretty kool

Do not use the personal trainers here. They will find some way of "misunderstanding" you. Told the personal trainer that processed my card that I wanted ONLY 1 month, 8 sessions since I will be going to another gym. He found some way of translating that to a reoccurring monthly charge for personal training. Currently with my bank disputing the charge. You'll also get a better workout with a youtube video. $40 just doing situps and squats?
So far this is the best Retro In the Area.. soo clean, bathrooms and equipment well presented and clean. Thanks for a nice experience at this location..
Needs a better hiring manager. No one greets you because they are too busy on their phones or yelling across the gym. Disgusting.
For future reference.. is it possible to post all over the gym or at least at the entrance door.. a holiday schedule (one week in advance) so members know that you will be closed for that particular day.
Also.. can we please get extra 45lb. barbells so that each of the benches and shoulder press has one. I find that during prime time.. when I'm able to allocate an empty bench.. I can't seem to find a barbell.
Other than that.. love the gym. I was a former member of Synergy but just move to the area and heard about your gym.

This gym is the worst first of all i never signed a contract they forged my signature on top of that they told me that i would be billed on the 11th every month and i get late fees because the money wasnt there on the 6th i asked them to have my account transfered to a different retro and i was told it would be taken care of and it was not i plan on having the issues delt with being that not only did i not sign a contract but my signiture was forged i should have no problem doing so

A great place to work out. They have various floor classes, zumba, spinning, and are bringing yoga back. If you are a female, watch out for overly zealous trainers, but that happens everywhere. The equipment is well maintained and the locker rooms are clean. They could use an additional set of electrical outlets in the ladies room for blow dryers or hair irons.

I visited the gym couple of times last year. I found the staff okay could be more accommodating. . The gym is dirty. I have not been back and glad there is a Retro in Carle Place. Carle Place location is further away from my location but worth the trip.

Excellent Zumba, spin, and core workout classes. Great staff too. However, the cleaniness of the place needs some improvement.

The gym was fine even thogh was lack of some equipment. The gym setting was a little cofusing but I think who got used to it have no complain. I just had a free pass since I was travelling and needes to get my workout done. Thank you for the free pass!

I go there now, it's a great gym, the only problem there is where the boxing section is jammed in the corner it's annoying cause movement is limited, and the they need a cleaning staff on deck to keep bathrooms tidy, other than that a great place to workout
i only went once a year ago and one of the machines weren't working. i got charged extra and i never went back. I went back to la fitness across the street from roosevelt field mall. Retro was closer to me BUT la fitness is worth the extra 15 mins. there's way more space and when i was going there i never had issues with machines!

Friendly staff, very welcoming. location is ok. The only thing I really didn't like about the location is that if you come early in the morning like 5 or 530 there isn't enough lighting in the parking lot.

Men's bathroom needs cleaning alot.
Bad the music we don't know where coming from maybe from Alabama because over here we don't have no idea what kind of music. At least change the musical put top 40 ,never change the type the music.

I was a member and got $49 billed for a Maintenance Fee I wasn't aware of so, if you join please ask for the whole information, because it doesn't reflect the reality from this place.
I have to disclose facts about broken weight machines they don't fix, also need to improve their costumer service, as well lack of paper refillment, and those bathrooms need cleaning when they got messy from time to time.

I'm able to work out any part of my body.. There's trainer's there to train you. They have the BEST Zumba class.. I love it.. If you want to workout Come join Retro Fitness.. The Employees treat you with the most respect.
