Shame that it closed, it was in a perfect spot being right next to a pizza place, and had a great vibe to it, and was well laid out.
The most amazing staff and as a mother of two children (2 c sections) - there are no words to describe the confidence and strength both mentally and physically I got from strength training. Shaun and Roxanne are amazing and allow you to acheive any goal. When you choose to work hard, they work harder with you! Wonderful staff!
Excellent gym. Pretty huge and equipped with the latest. Quite affordable too! Trainers on hand as well should you need them.
Terrible gym. Bait and switch with contracts. They reserve the right to change anything and everything in the contract, including the price! Stay far away from this gym.

After posting these reviews, I am no longer welcome at Retro Parsippany.
Currently a member of retro fitness in Parsippany. Not happy at all, it continues to get worse. Broken equipment, dirty both the equipment and locker room. Now back to them not opening the doors on time. I'm currently waiting in my car for someone to show up and open. After an hour and a half decided to leave.
I took my concerns to the new manager and he did everything in his power to make right by the situation. He was very attentive and took the situation very serious and was apologetic about my time being wasted. Hopefully this is the start to much better gym experience with retro of Parsippany.

Really good gym for those who take fitness very seriously.. good choice of equipment and the music they play is really good (mostly hard rock mixed with rap, sometimes pop) It feels more of a gym then a fitness center. The protein / fruit smoothie bar has many options for everyone from regular protein shakes to vegan options and always tastes good as well!

Just got off the phone with the regional manager who called me to tell me that I was wrong and I couldn't read my contract. He even offered to read it to me. He offered me no solutions or apologies, just called to tell me I was wrong. He even asked me "Do you think I'm an idiot like you?"
Update 2: As their response shows, they offer no apologies or solutions. Their contracts are misleading. Apparently, I am Miss Understanding. I think he meant misunderstanding, but you know, I can't read my own contract.

Good clean equipment. Really no complaints about it except not a fan of having the fans running full blast while I'm trying to work up a good sweat. Some people rather the coolness, but if your there to workout I rather my muscles warm then cold. Personal preference. Needs a tire to flip!!!

Really disappointed by this gym. Although I got a great workout in, the gym and members themselves drive me away. Most of the members there don't look like they know what there doing, most ego lifting. I was using a machine and someone put there 45 lb plate they were using on MY MACHINE. I could have got hurt. On top of that the locker room was small and dirty. There were dust bunnies EVERYWHERE and there was dried up gum on the floor. The showers are another story. I myself used to be a maintenance worker at another gym and I would NEVER leave the gym in the state it was in. The only thing I liked was that they had a hack squat machine and the front desk people were polite. Would not recommend

Pretty easy going gym. Only thing I would recommend is more wipe down cleaning tools.

I wanted to take a tour of this gym two years ago and was denied by a mean person. Wow I am not sure how this place is still there. I used to shop here when it was a Party City. Worst GYM ever.
A year ago my dad and I wanted to take a tour of this gym. We were denied from a staff member. She was very rude about it. Congrads, you guys just lost two potential members.
Loved everything about this Retro Fitness. Clean, extremely friendly front desk people, and the gentleman who made my retro blend did a 10/10 job.
Retro fitness has it all, good parking, friendly staff and priced right. Food equipment not empty but always a machine available to use.
I've never seen such poor management, as this place. Ripped me off and if you want to cancel, good luck. You have a better chance getting hit by lighting.
My only gripe was the smell/mustiness in the locker room. Well the owner (Gary) contacted me to my surprise and stated they were taking care of it. I go at lunch time and always have access to what i need. I enjoy working out here.
this place is absolutely horrible. I call to cancel a membership for my father and a man named Gary had a huge attitude, and was extremely rude to me and my father, saying and accusing him that when he came one time to cancel it in person that he cursed him out. absolute horrible customer service. Never in my life with I recomend someone to go to this gym.
Friendly staff and trainers. One of the female workers takes really nice care of my daughter in childcare. Very clean and nice equipment.
Compared to other retros this one is extremely clean and well kept. Nice layout as well
I like the vibe of this light-filled gym, but I no longer go there because of the showers. The mildew smell would knock you over. I complained twice. Nothing changed.
