really dark, kind of dirty and run down as well. staff was super friendly and accommodating. not all that big, maybe im being too picky but i probably won't be back
Hey, Rocksport, if your posted hours show you opening at 10am, I kind of expect you to be open at 10am...definitely by 1030....

I started climbing as a complete beginner about 6 months ago. I subscribed to a membership at RockSport and have been coming here 2-4 times a week, every week, ever since. I have made friends with most of the incredible staff members here, who are always eager to offer their guidance and support. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and you will make some lasting connections climbing here. There are routes for all levels and they are updated at a fair pace. I love this place and all of the people in it, and I'll be coming here for many months to come.
As good an experience as I could expect for my first-time climbers. I took my 6- and 8- year-olds. We were checked in and geared up inside seven minutes. Gear was in good shape. Staff was chill and helpful. The young lady who was helping belay kids during "kids climb" time was very patient and good with all of the kids. If I had any criticism it would be that I wish there were a few more beginner routes but I also understand that most people who visit climbing gyms want the challenge.
Great walls from "boulder" height to 40' , some even inclined or declined. Great staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Self auto-belay hookups everywhere so you don't need a buddy to belay you although you can use a buddy if he's certified. Alternative activities such as a slack line, air hockey and exercise equipment for non-climbers. Rocksport it's a clean, wholesome and inexpensive place for family fun. I highly recommend it and have taken my kids several times despite living 130 miles away.
There's a large bouldering area, 32 foot runs, the staff has always been helpful and friendly. They do lessons, and outings. There's even a climbing team. You can really tell the employees work there because they really love climbing and want to further the sport.
