Well maintained facility and great staff. It's by far the most "socially oriented" club I've ever belonged to. If you're new to town and want to meet local people while working out, this is your spot.
This place has the most friendly environment I've ever experienced outside of an amusement park. I think it's the positive productive people that enjoy life who make it that way. "The people make the place" .
By far the best gym I've ever used. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. From front desk, spa, all the way to the custodians. Facility is always clean and there is always plenty of equipment no matter the time and day. I've been on and off with my membership due to life and situations, but I always keep coming back to Sports West. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
It's just a great all around gym with great instructors!! They have racquetball courts and a pool!
Worth the money. Staff is friendly and so are the other users

Okay facility and gym equipment, but be prepared to watch Fox News. If you change the channel expect conflict. The owner refeuses to address this, even when other legitimit sporting events are available, Fox and Friends >> ESPN. After a certain point, I'd prefer my gym to not be politicized.

My home away from home member since 2006 always improving they can be a little bad about when they do their cleaning maintenance it should do it at night
Gym is good but the amenities are getting dated. Expensive compared to fitness connect and stuff, but it separates the riffraff culture out. Overall happy.

Love this gym so much. The workers have always been so friendly and wonderful, the equipment is clean and I always feel so safe here. 10/10. My favorite place to be.
BEWARE. I actually called to get a price on swimming was told $10. I drove down and was told I could only swim for $20. Joanna was absolutely obnoxious. She has no humility. She would not honor what her employees said. I would never join this club. I hope someone treats her and her children the way she treated me.
Staff on shift from 7pm-10pm (Eddie) was very unprofessional, extremely rude, not knowledgeable about anything. I called him after leaving personal belongings at the gym and accident and he was very disrespectful and hung up in my face. When I called back said that he found it and was mailing it to me. How rude is that? Seemingly this is a problem for other customers as well. I will not be visiting here again.
The club is immaculate, amenities are always kept up in pristine condition, ie. the steam room and dry sauna. The saline pool is in wonderful condition, perfect for lap swimming. They have any sort of equipment you may need up to and including TRX , functional fitness body accoutrements, balls, bands, etc...also: if you are on injury reserve there are excellent alternatives to help you get back into wellness. The trainers are knowledgable and highly qualified. Whether you are an athlete, recovering from a stroke or simply need some professional guidance, there are an assortment of trainers to choose from.
The club offers a Pilates studio and many other extras, racquetball, boxing, yoga, swimming classes, water classes.
The price is right, they don't take advantage of you and the membership coordinators are extremely helpful and will give you options to fit your needs, not their commission structure.
I can't say enough about this club, it's a best kept secret in Reno.
Great gym, with lots of equipment and fantastic instructors. One of the few gyms with a half olympic size pool, suitable for swim and tri training. New spin bikes with power meters and color code enabled displays. Lunch-time classes of 45 minutes on these bikes do help improve conditioning within a reasonably short time. Most classes included in membership. Great, clean shower facilities with steam room and sauna.
Secure your belongings not in car or even lockers, cargo pants to work out in, for wallet and phone best advice. Neighborhood has gone downhill, check your 6, be aware
I visited Sports West Athletic Club, had a wonderful experience. The staff was warm helpful, the facility very clean, the Diretor of Personal Training was extremly personal and the smoothies were Delicious. The Spa was off the hook excellent professional service.
