I enjoy this facility. It's not far from my home. Very reasonable for all the perks you get. The staff is always friendly, and it really is very inviting. I don't feel insecure walking in. You have young and older, men and women of all sizes. I just feel comfortable when I go to workout.
I used to go this location because it was convenient and close to home but I moved, but now I go out of my way to this location because the staff is awesome and always helpful. The early morning crew is friendly and welcoming. If there is any cleaning issues they get to it immediately. No hesitation never a mess.
BE AWARE!! please do not, and I mean do not leave your wallet in the lockers... My wallet and my friends wallet was stolen with a locked locker, don't know how but it was open and stole our stuff, they don't care for your car keys or clothes but just your wallet. Just leave your wallet in your car or don't bring anything else but your headset to work out. Other than that, good gym.
There is a great selection of weight machines and cardio options. However, there are no squat/bench racks that are not smith machines. Squatting using a smith machine requires the person to use a linear motion even though that is completely unnatural and could be unsafe even. If you want to do squats, I would suggest just holding a plate instead of using the smith machine if you feel uncomfortable using it.
Great price, open 24/7, trainers make you feel comfortable while also being encouraging. Love this gym so much.
This companies business model is built on the predication of consumer negligence while ironically branding themselves as judgment free, all the while, celebrating judgement of those who are not negligent about their health and physique.
Proudly displaying a "Lunk Alarm" followed by a judgemental and sarcastic (Urban Dictionary-esque) definition of the word "Lunk". This definition leads us to believe that if you wear a tank top or drink from a gallon water jug you are not welcome.
This is the epitome of a millennial "safe space" that promotes an ideal it will and can never actually enforce. I will give the gym 2 stars because it was clean and orderly.
Edit 1: Response to Planet Fitness
That's understandable. Every business must have policies and procedures to not only protect their client's physical well-being but also their presumably fragile emotional well-being buy deploying a marketing ploy the business can never enforce or be held accountable for.
I'm learning so much!
First is, that most things placed on the ground can be a tripping hazard, including but not limited to, anything. This policy begs the question, at what size does a water container become a tripping hazard? Does an 8 Oz water bottle? A 16 Oz kraft? What size of hydration container constitutes a tripping hazard? I'll be safe next time and bring my 127 Oz flask.
Second is, only one of the two genders (female) can don a tank top because, the other gender (male) is icky and suffers from hygiene issues.
Admitting your business model preys on the majority of your client's and your marketing jargon is hyperbolic hypocrisy would require much less effort then this business puts forth in ensuring that their client's truly live a healthy lifestyle.
Great staff and excellent hydro massage beds!
Works as a good gym if all you do is cardio but if you wanna see any results then go to any other gym. And the 2 month fee is not advertised well so after your two months they charge you your month+an extra 40 dollars. So if all you do is cardio then it's good but if you want more than treadmills then go to anywhere else

If you go during the day it's awful! 36th & Q Been a member for over 3 years. Today my husband and I were in there @11.15 am and my husband had some guy just walk over and take plates he was using , husband was like I am using that. Then my husband has a gym bag not a large one but it's got gloves, belt etc. He has it against the wall in front of the mirror out of the way a girl that works there had braids in her hair rudely walked up and says "you need to get that off the floor " had she asked nicely my husband would have said oh I wasn't aware of the new policy where should I put it? She said it's a policy that Bryce made in a rude manner so he proceeded to say fine we'll leave. Mind you as I'm walking over to talk to my husband I see literally 6 people sitting on machines just using their phones so other people can't use the machines. I'm not talking they were queuing up their gym workout music know they're literally just sitting there on their phone. And if you have a gym bag that you need stuff out of like your water bottle and your belt and gloves where are you supposed to put it because if you have to walk to a locker every time you need something out of your gym bag your towel whatever you're going to lose your machine so are you supposed to put it on your back ? The gym etiquette there is horrendous and when we go we usually go at 3:30 in the morning There's a group of girls there that get the machines all sweaty and nasty gym policy wipe your machine down they never do we've complained 6 times, and if the situation was addressed they still don't follow the rules . it's a common courtesy you wipe the machines down, you don't hog them if you have your stuff laying on a machine that means you're using it and they don't enforce the correct rules like don't sit on a machine with your phone or don't walk over while somebody is using a machine and take their weights so myself my husband and all of my children have memberships there it seems we will be looking for a new gym.
So it's been 1 month said my family would get 3 months free. GUESS AGAIN 1 MONTH AND THEY DRAFTED ME AGAIN.

This gym is hands down the best! The staff is friendly, courteous and attentive. The entire gym is always sparkling clean and maintained with the utmost of care. You'd have to look far and wide to find a better, more welcoming place than this.

Always nice and clean with plenty of open equipment. There has been a few times were I waited at the front desk for up to five minutes for an employee but other than that a good place for a workout
A good, solid gym unless you plan on taking a shower there. The hot water works maybe half the time.
Decent enough gym. Don't have too many troubles getting on equipment, unless you want the cable machines by the mirrors. Despite their "lunk alarm" and judgement free zone, there's no shortage of dudes making love to themselves in the mirrors. I also regularly see people in street clothes and shoes so some of the equipment and floors gets muddy at times.

Some of these reviews are a little too critical for a $10 a month membership *eye roll* for 10 bucks you're getting a great deal. Only complaint I have is the selection of free weights and lack of normal benches/racks. All in all, great gym if you're just looking to workout and not do anything too crazy.

An excellent place to workout! Open 24/7! Very helpful staff that are always willing to find a way to help. Come on in and join planet fitness.
I am 63 years old and have belonged to gyms since I was 16. This Planet Fitness is by far the best gym I've ever joined. The Staff is always friendly and they always greet me with a smile and a " hi Mike." They make me feel young even though I'm old enough to be their grandfather. The place is my second home and whenever I'm feeling down I know where to go for a "happy mood change." Planet Fitness 36 & Q st. I know every Staff member there and I think they're all great. Give em all a raise. They deserve it!

Variety of equipment and a great place for a beginner like myself and still challenging for my boyfriend who is intermediate. The environment is nonjudgmental and friendly. Overall it is a great place!
Staff always welcomes me when I come in.
Gym is well kept
Never had any issues.
Would highly recommend.
The staff is okay, they don't usually greet or acknowledge me. Not their fault but the location and surrounding area usually stink. Bathrooms are not so tidy. I would rather visit the council bluffs location but this one is closer.
I give 4 and half. I haven't been there for 3 or 4 week. My leg brass broke and I will be getting new one this week.
When I come to the gym the staff always gives me a friendly greeting! The amenities for the black card membership are awesome. Anytime I need help with a machine I can ask the staff and they answer my questions.
Super friendly staff, I always get a greeting when walking in or leaving! The trainer is amazing and super helpful. Overall it's an amazing place to workout!!!
