This gym is great. I have been going to it for 3 years now. Always friendly staff. Their daycare is great also. They do arts and crafts with the kids and take them into the gymnasium for excersise from time to time. The machines are always working. They have a person that comes around and cleans all the time.
Been there twice in the last week! Loved the pool and bike area. Everyone has been helpful, even the members.
I used to be a member. They have the best free weights and the sauna steam whirlpool and pocket rooms are great. Just seemed pricey compared to other fitness options.
Was a nice place as prarie life. They have switched owners and i have been charged 310 dollars in one month for a 42 dollar a month membership. It has become all about the ripoff under new ownership. Stay away. Go to lakeside if you want a better deal.
Great place to exercise, nice and kind staff, great group classes 2 and it's a gym with a lot of equipments and health activities like massage, therapy, steam, whirlpool, indoor and outdoor swimming pool and so on.

A bit expensive but they have a dedicated Pilates studio, pool, basketball courts, and a spin class room. Most of the machines are modern, but there's one or two there left over from the Reagan administration (kidding of course). Staff are nice and the place is clean. They always have deals on personal training. The racquetball courts are popular too.

This place is HUGE! Well worth the monthly fee. Tons of cardio and weight equipment, fresh towels, a big shower room, studios for different exercises, a gym, a pool, and even a juice bar.

Trainer is pretty nice, not great management.
Awesome gym. Great people.
Great equipment, staff and facilities. Great environment to be in
Great variety of equipment, pool, lap pool, gym, group classes. Love the steam room! Also have sauna and hot tub. Clean locker rooms, private changing rooms, plenty of lockers to go around. Friendly staff who are very helpful.

Clean environment. Polite and helpful staff. Very good locations. Favorable access hours. Competant Trainers. Variety of classes from Spinning to Pilates to Kettle bells. Beautiful basketball and Raquetball courts. Recommended
Great old school gym! Good old school gym equipment. Nice pool and awesome wet area of men's locker room.

18 years strong. A little pricey but the location has me for sure. Great Yoga.
Great facility, staff, and services. Would def recommend.
Love how clean this is especially for a gym, I go at night but the young girl with glasses gets 10 stars for being so professional and helpful.
This place is a bit pricey. The staff is friendly. The contracts at 2 years is too long. They should do one year contracts instead. It is kid friendly as parents are always leaving them to run around in the lobby and the locker rooms. The gym is clean though. When my membership expires, I won't renew it. Dissatisfied with the experience and kid friendliness.
Always clean, great pool, racquetball courts, sauna, and steam room. I've never tried the fitness classes, so I don't know anything about those, but PLF is a nice gym with a decent selection of equipment.

**Update 7-29-17**
I had lost my wallet and cancelled the card that Prairie Life automatically debits my monthly fee from. I didn't get the gym my new card and I incurred fees. That's fine. That's 100% my fault. I spoke to a lady at the 84th & Q St location about what happened. She offered to waive my fees and I gave her my new debit card number. Great!
A month or so later, I got a new bill with new late fees. I called again, and they said if missed the payment deadline for my new card to take effect. They said the old card was still on file. Again, they waived the fees (for the last time, they said), I again have them my current card info, and thought this was done.
But today in the mail, I have a bill with numerous late charges on it. I'm not sure what the problem is but I don't trust that talking to them will resolve anything. I'm probably just going to pay everything they claim I owe and cancel my membership with them. Up until that wallet was stolen, everything was fine. I don't know what late fees they're talking about, but it seems like they keep coming up with them.
this place is great it is also big it has 2 pools has hot tubs and a lot of equipment it's a great place nothing bad about it I do prefer the 1 in Midtown crossing cause it is closer to me but both places are phenomenal and the staff are too
Took a friend there who has M.S. They were NOT accommodating. NOT friendly. NOT helpful.

This place has a lot of amenities that you'd find at a health club: pool, saunas, basketball courts, snack/smoothie bar and more, but is solidly mediocre.
The amenities drive up the price, which makes sense, but the equipment is overwhelmingly dated and it is generally pretty busy. There are a lot of stereotypical meatheads around, which for some people is great, but not my scene.
The membership is based on a contract that is expensive to terminate, so I would just make sure the bells and whistles justify the price before joining.
