This location has been a vital part of my routine schedule for 4 years. I have made great friendships in the group classes and we always have fun working-out together! You will find a sense of belonging here. Many times I've heard that attending a group class would be intimidating, but you'll quickly discover how welcoming everyone is, and that we encourage/push each other to be our best at whatever level. Thank you Travell for always putting up with us! You push us beyond what we think we can do and help us achieve a greater potential within ourselves.
Like I said before I really enjoy Genesis North Health club. I enjoy Travell's pump classes and the morning Spin classes. Ashlee Hansen really knows her stuff as a trainer. Instructors and trainers are knowledgeable and professional. The front desk staff is always warm and inviting. It's just a friendly laid-back community. It makes working out fun!
I loved my time at Genesis Health Club! We stayed in Springfield for about 3 months, during which time I got to come here often. I enjoyed that they had child care while I worked out, all of the staff was helpful, the equipment was well maintained, and the facility was clean and had a unique atmosphere. They had free group classes that were fun (my favorite was the power yoga). If you are in Springfield and looking for a gym, this is the one.
As a long time member and a previous instructor, I have always enjoyed all that Genesis has to offer. Everyone, from the staff, instructors, trainers, and even other members are so friendly creating a very warm, inviting community. Travell is a fantastic trainer and group fitness instructor!! As a trainer, he is so knowledgeable and can definitely meet all your fitness needs no matter what level! As an instructor, he is very versatile teaching several different classes, but he always makes each one a good time so that you have fun while getting/staying fit! I highly recommend it!!
I have been a member for four years, and it has become such an important part of my life, I have a hard time imagining life before Genesis! The north side has such heart and soul, I feel it is my second home. The staff and instructors are all wonderful, and the classes motivating. I have recently had to make some budget decisions as my employment status is soon changing, and remaining at Genesis is non-negotiable! My only regret is that I didn't join sooner!
Have had so many issues with the billing department. Not happy at all with their service.
I like that people are serious about their wellness and their workouts at Genesis. It keeps me focused. Also...towels. I like that I don't have to remember to bring one and that I don't have a wet towel stinking up my car all day after a workout!

Nice gym. The south location is a little more fancy but this one has all the same equipment and never crowded. Good deal for the price.

Way too much money and the managers are rude and disrespectful. I talked to the manager at the Northside location about my complaint and he gave me a phone # to call for the complaint and the # is no longer in service and he won't return my calls now.If your looking for a fitness center I'd go with Planet Fitness.

Place is the biggest joke. One of the worst gyms in Missouri. id rather drive 12 hrs to the nearest la fitness than this trashy place. they refuse to give you a guest pass unless 5 people sign up. Biggest waste of time. They have a bunch of douchebag employees!!

Les Mills! Great instructors! Bringing back Les Mills classes demonstrates that Genesis listens to its members. Kudos to Genesis for bringing back body attack and body combat! And kudos to all the awesome instructors who are enthusiastic and fun. They really know their stuff. Very happy with Genesis.

Just don't go here. There are much better gyms in town, the workers at Genesis are unprofessional, and if you make the mistake of leaving your phone number with them for whatever reason they will call/text you relentlessly even after you demand they take your number off their contact list. They don't care about their members or your experience, they're just concerned with money. Take the time to research other gyms and you'll be happier with the ones you find.
I love the group fitness classes that are free with a membership (especially group Power and Synergy) and the group fitness instructors are the absolute best! I do wish that the nursery was open all throughout the afternoon instead of closing from 12-4, but that is my only complaint. The staff are all amazing!
The staff are friendly and very helpful. My cousin and I are regulars and they know us by first name and if there's ever an issue - they're always ready to assist.

The location of the club is convenient for me. I think they do a fine job of keeping the place clean. There is a good mix of equipment. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great Gym. The north side is the best. Super friendly staff and Trainers :) There is something for everyone and anyone at any fitness level are looked as equals.

I joined this Gym in 2015. At that time they had a great staff and I was very pleased with my decision. Shortly after I joined I noticed the high turn over of employees which first made me suspicious. When I signed my contract with Genesis I was told it would be easy to cancel in case I had to move for my job and I just had to pay a fee of $125 to cancel my contract early. When I moved halfway through my contract the nightmare began. I had to cancel several times because my cancellation was "lost". When I finally talked to Aaron who was/maybe still is the Manager at the time he was more than rude and tried to charge me way more than the cancellation fee. This has been going for several weeks of letters and phone calls from Genesis. Now I received a letter from a collection agency(which is coincidentally owned by the same person who owns Genesis) wanting me to pay close to $800. DO NOT sign a contract at this place! Go with a Gym that offers a month-to-month plan.
