Great family location for birthdays and parties. Do not recommend visiting alone due to side of town but they do a wonderful job with upkeep. Family center is extremely nice!
I love history. Just as much, I enjoy "repurposed" history; places that were at one time a notable location (battlefield, bustling community, working factory, etc.), and are now a strolling park, a living museum, or a medical center. Doling park is one of these. Up until the 1920s, this place was a pretty well-visited amusement park, filled with rides, a small zoo, a large water slide, a roller skating facility, and many other attractions. Now, it's a family park with, fishing, water features, an aquatic center, a museum, and many other facilities to fill a day. There are caves on the site, lots of informational signage, and plenty of other enjoyable tidbits.
Great place to walk around and hang out. If you like to forage, there are some wooded areas to go check out. There's a pond, normally with ducks and/or geese, and all the animals are rather friendly. This park is pet friendly.
Very relaxing and enjoyable! Great place to take a scroll with friends and family or to simply take a break. Has accessible trails and scenic viewing areas. Never felt crowded even though there were plenty of others also there. Recommend this awesome local great away for any one simply trying to have some safe free fun!!
This is a nice park. Good people go here to enjoy the outdoors and relax by the pond. I haven't felt unsafe with our daughter in the park or in the center. Sometimes it's busy but parks can get that way in decent weather
We love Doling Park and Family Center. The park is wide open for games, has beautiful trails, and traditional playground equipment for the kids. We also spend hours on end at the gym working on our son's basketball skills. The staff is always friendly and willing to help when needed. We've also had family parties is the available guest rooms. All in all we take advantage of everything Doling has to offer.
I would definitely recommend this place for children birthday parties had my grandsons birthday party there they have plenty of room and a kitchen to go with it

It's a nice big Park it has geese upon you can walk around on and a small Creek that has rocks in the middle of it that you can sit on and take good pictures it has Hills that you can roll down trees that you can sit under excetera there are also caves that you can have a tour in if you have a reserved spot you can do that by going to the park Board website in Springfield Missouri
Good facility. Large park and trail, decent gym, lots of activities. Only problem is the pool... CHLORINE!!! Way too much of it. To the point that on bad days you'll get sick from the air in the pool area.

I have been going to this park for most of my life. It is amazing all around. The water is beautiful and the cave is wonderful and intriguing. The pavilions are mostly clean with grills near some of them, as clean as outside picnic tables can get. Just watch out for the water foul and please if you feed them, bring food that they can find in nature, to keep them healthy, and so the pond does not get covered in algae. The trails are a fun walk, or small hike. There is plenty of room for sports and play. There is a bathroom by the playground area, and up the hill, there is a family center. There is even a few geocaching spots to find. Fun alone, with family, even a date. Come in rain or sun to enjoy this beautiful park.

This park is beautiful, but I wish there were more shaded areas around the playground equipment. My daughter is still young enough to use the younger children's area, and needs supervision, and there is no shade at all around that area. Also, the larger slides can only be accessed by older children, but my daughter loves the larger slides. We don't come to this park as frequently as other parks because of that reason.

My dog loves walking here at Doling and I like to see the turtles. Some of the turtles will climb up out of the water onto the edge. Just wish the kept the pond cleaner.
I've been going to Doling Park since I was a kid. Feeding the ducks and picnicking. I actually got married in front of the cave. They have playground,walking trails, small lake, tennis courts, and swimming pools as well as a community center

Clean, big, lots of trees, hills, grass. The pond is lovely too. The trails are very very short. I wouldn't suggest this place for a run but the playground is nice and its family friendly.

What a jewel of a park! Can't wait to go back and check out the musems. Loved the cave!
Nice. Lean little park. We like to get subway or pizza, sit and watch the squirrels play while eating lunch. Lots of other activities there too. Walking trail, pool and rec center.
On hot summer days when everybody's at the park, you won't be ran over by tons of kids. Their is lots of space to play inside and out.
Just recently found this park. It has beautiful views. Lots of cool structures. We are looking forward to visiting it once the weather gets warmer. I think it would be a great place to take pictures.
This is a wonderful park where you can spend great time, outdoors. The paved walking trails are great for those who enjoy walking, biking and jogging. The large pound holds geese, ducks, turtles and many fish accustomed with visitors feeding them bread and crackers. The large pavilion is great for family, church or club events offering tables, access to water, BBQ built stands as well as two nearby playgrounds for children.
They had done a lot of construction, I feel they still need to do some more for people to better use and enjoy the park. There are still a lot of very large wet spots that form after it rains. I would say take your small kids to another park but your pet duck will love it.
I grew up here and have raised my daughter here, now I enjoy taking my granddaughter. It has changed a lot over the years but is always very clean and well kept up
One of my favorite parks in Springfield. There is a playground area, a pond, trails, and a cave. The cave is closed most of the time but the Park has tours at certain times.
Beautiful views, community activities, hiking trails, childrens play areas, picnics areas with grilling (both sheltered and nonsheltered from elements). Historic, both paved and nonpaved walkways. Perfect for large groups, from the oldest to the youngest.

Interesting people there and the cops were arresting two people. The equipment was nice!
