The climbing routes at this gym offer a good variety of options. Thankfully, there are more than a small handful of challenging/higher rated routes to choose between. If you wish to improve or refine your climbing skills, my opinion is that this gym is better suited to do so than the other options provided in the St. Louis area. The staff is generally very helpful, polite and friendly. The prices are competitive and the location is convenient to the downtown area.
Great staff and loads of fun, but priced a little high. They are all day passes, but who can last more than a couple of hours!!
This place is a ton of fun. The instructors we're amazing and really help build your confidence when training you. This place gave me a passion for climbing and I have a blast every time I visit. I highly recommend coming here if you have never climbed before.

Each time I go to Upper Limits to climb rocks, I'm almost always greeted by Scottie the hottie. Really sharp looking dude if you know what I mean;-)
Scottie has been very helpful in teaching me the ropes (do you get the joke?) in how to climb them rocks. He's been especially helpful in making sure my foul language isn't heard across the gym by other mediocre climbers. After the many warnings, I feel like he has my best interest in heart.
I hope I'm allowed back soon so I can learn how to tie figure 7 knots, ba-lay newcomers, and host my 2nd 31st birthday party this upcoming fall (do you get this joke?). Thanks Scottie!

A touch small but the best value climbing gym in St Louis by a long shot and they use the space well. Community is mostly the chill, outdoorsy type of climbers.

Always live upper limit's locations, staff is always friendly and the climbing is always great, whether you are a seasoned climber or a complete beginner. I'll definitely be back for more!

The staff in Maryland heights took a potentially disappointing first time experience and stepped up to make it AWESOME . This location was preparing for a competition the next day and only 2 sections were available for my 3 nieces to climb. After only an hour (and $60) they had done everything twice and was looking for more. Chris was VERY gracious and allowed us to transfer to another location without charge! The girls were thrilled!
We spent another 3 hours at the other location (downtown), the staff there welcomed us and treated us all like we were family.
Highly recommended! Thanks for such a great time

Good top rope walls, but this location does not have an exercise gym like maryland heights, or chesterfield. It is also the most busiest of all the locations, because it's in the city. I'm very biased to maryland heights, but this gym is a close second. I would definitely say it has the best customer service 9f the 3 locations. Go check it out!

Awesome training for rock climbing. The routes go from beginner to very competitive. This place is great if your a rock climbing enthusiast to a beginner. Great personnel and solid place to climb. Two thumbs up.
