Great local gym!
I've been working out here for over a year. Its not everyone cup of tea. It's not a planet fitness with polished machines and weights that no one has lifted yet. This is a gym for people who are serious about their fitness and enjoy a more primal approach. It's never too packed but even when it's full everyone is business like. No one is sitting around hogging machines talking on their phones. Everyone who lifts here is nice I've never had a problem working in between sets. The cardio equipment is older and some of it is non functioning. That being said this is a lifters gym. It's not catered to people in fancy gym attire drinking wheat grass shakes. I personally love it here. I bike everywhere I don't even own a car. Fitness vault lets me park my bike inside and the door person always watches it. This is a jewel of Saint Louis.
Best gym I've worked out at in a long time. Clean, not many people, I was able to get a workout in peace, and it was nice. I actually joined the gym after my workout.
Staff was nice too. The guy at the desk seemed a bit uninformed though.
Uh awful! It's great if you just want a decent lift, the front desk girl had no idea what a kettleball was so asking for direction on anything was worthless, decided to do cardio.. PLEASE put out of order signs on anything!! Stair master is completely broke.. stepped on it, mind I'm a regular workout-Er so I'm not dumb.. rolled all the way back & fell off, cut up wrist & arm a bit on ground.. left immediately, told front desk lady! Said ONLY a manager can put a sign on it & refused to Refund day pass cost, but gave me few band aids.. oh & All of. Cardio is covered in about a lb of dust.. find somewhere else!!!
A lot of equipment in this gym. Staff was awesome all around in taking care of me and explaining the facility when I came for a day pass. I will be back on future trips I love The Fitness Vault.
One of the best gyms in town... To be able to workout in peace without the hassle of big crowds is priceless. I don't know how they do it but this gym is never crowded, good enough equipment, clean, awesome low lighting atmosphere. Been going to this gym off and on for about 10 years and nothing ever changes and the only reason I stopped going was because of moving further away.
