The industry will be changed forever by this gym and their trainers. The Labs model is protected within its walls for good reason. Trainer client retention is estimated 85-90% OVER 10+years. Client testimonials are in the thousands. The system that prepares trainers was created by Founder Justin Thacker and as a Lab Gym certified trainer myself, it is the answer to all problems and questions in this industry. If you are looking for ANYTHING they are the only trainers I would work with.
Experts in special populations and impaired clients from ages 2-100
Nice. Just wish it was cheaper.
Top class gym with a great staff. I enjoy my work out classes. The machines are top notch as well!
Have nothing but great things to say about my experiences at The Lab. I love the motivational posters, healthy recipes, and energy of everyone there. I love the 24hr access as I often go late at night and early in the morning and every time have had a great experience.
I would readily recommend The Lab to anyone looking for a great place with great people.
This is my spot, great volume of stuff and friendly staff
Looking at gyms all over the St Louis area all week, this gym is easily top 3. Decently sized for the area and there are many areas available to work out so you wont be SoL when others work the same muscle groups as you.
Deadlift areas are huge for me and there are so many power lifting stations throughout, along with a great Crossfit program.
I got the standard membership. Wasn't ecstatic about the ewuiequip you get to use for the price but the gym was never too criwcro and customer service was great

Lots of equipment. Crossfit available. Can use Classpass to drop in.

Great personal and group training offerings. Lots of squat racks. Great for people intertin barbell lifts.

I have the regular $50 membership, and for that price I get about half of the gym. It had about the same array of weights, benches and racks that a regular $10-20 gym has
The weight training area doesn't have enough plates
Like several of the previous reviews, I too came to this gym on a groupon for Crossfit. I am so grateful I stumbled into the gym. When I started, I was still on my journey of losing 100+lbs. That was 4 years ago and I haven't left. At this point, everyone is family. It can be really intimidating walking in at first, but it won't take long to get acclimated and grow into your true potential. While I started in Crossfit, I am now a Powerlifter. I had no clue I'd be a competitive athlete a few years ago and now here I am going to USPA Worlds. Best gym around. Hands down.

Great gym
Great
Unfriendly, drab, terrible personal trainers and a disorganized gym. Literally performing renovations in the middle of areas with no secondary location to stretch or anything. The staff are hostile and fake friendly. The trainers have clients doing fake and unsafe workouts. Go elsewhere.
Would have a hard time finding a better place to workout. Knowlegable and friendly staff paired with fun classes.
If you're looking for Personal Training, DO NOT GO HERE! There slogan is false advertisement. Most of the trainers had little to NO training experience prior to starting at The Lab, do your research before putting your health in someones life. Degrees mean nothing when you don't have proper certifications or experience training people. Drop in at 5pm during peak hours and what you will see are a staff of "trainers", all regurgitating the same useless cues, with it written all over their faces that they'd rather be a million other places than training you! Also, several of them are in terrible shape and if someone can't take care of themselves physically, do you really trust them to guide your fitness/health journey?? I also know many clients who were injured using the terrible lifting form they teach here, and there's nothing you can do after you sign the waiver. The staff showed no empathy either. Do yourself a favor, your spine/shoulder health are far too valuable, STAY AWAY! Also, the trainers here train between 50-70 sessions a week, that's 10-12 per day and are payed very little per session. Do you really think someone can/wants to give you their best service after being on their feet all day or all week? This is not at all fair to clients!
Couldn't ask for more knowledgeable and experienced staff of trainers. Very friendly and motivating atmosphere.
Integrity and morality are alive here!
These guys are great. They offer a lot to the St. Louis Community for lifting and fitness. This is the type of gym you go to to step your training up to the next level and they definitely put customer service and safety as a top priority. I highly recommend!
