I had the pleasure of dropping in for a class while travelling to KC for work. Everyone was super welcoming. Carlos ran a great class with fun warmups, good drilling and solid techniques. I only had time to stick around for a couple of rolls, but the atmosphere was friendly and the top pressure was heavy (just how it should be!) Thanks guys and I can't wait to stop by next time I'm in town.

After a absence from Gracie Jiu Jitsu due to my health, I teamed up with this fantastic team. Due to my illness Doctor's wanted to prescribe half dozen medications. I said to myself it's time for me to go back to my passion. And I said to the Doctor's I have something that will fix my health issues. So I teamed up with Gracie Humaita Kansas City.

Not only did I receive a warm welcome but also was accepted immediately as part of the friendly family atmosphere. The atmosphere and vibe is phenomenal and honestly very friendly and warm. Safety & comfort is paramount in this activity so there is no stress or pressure.

The classes are usually small and very friendly. I would absolutely implore and ask any of you reading this to please just sign up for a class and see for yourself how fantastic this team and gym is.

Nothing else but say Thank you for reading and If my vote of confidence stands for anything.

I highly recommend Michael Graeber's Gracie Humaita Kansas City.

I stopped by the gym over two years ago and just stopped in again today. Mike remembered me by name, and welcomed me back with open arms. Awesome laid-back atmosphere, very visitor-friendly. I can't wait until my next stop in KC!

The entire staff here (Michael, Rusty, Sean, and Carlos) are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic in their teaching. The facility it clean. But the most important aspect of place, to me, is how friendly and inviting everyone is. I would highly recommend this place to anyone from white belt to black belt.

When I was in the Army infantry I had a strong sense of brotherhood, comradery, and friendship. I haven't gotten that anywhere else since I have been out (for about 7 years now) but found it again at Gracie Humaita. From the first day I was at the academy I was treated with respect, the students thanked me for training with them, and they took an interest in learning my name. That impression has stuck with me and inspires me to want to do the same and build closer bonds with the students and instructors.

Mike is the head instructor and is an awesome guy. Very personable. He gave me a warm welcome the first day I was there, remembered my name the next day, and has treated me like a personal friend ever since. The instructors clearly have a passion for BJJ and will talk to you about it for hours if you let them ;) I wouldn't have it any other way. I am treated like family at the academy and I look forward to training each and every time!

Gracie Humaita KC, The best Brazilian Jiujitsu in town. Self-defense and sport oriented, family-friendly and competitive, no athleticism required! Can't recommend enough, awesome people and even better instructors.

Really friendly folks who made me feel welcome as a visitor from out of town from the very first moment. The mats are quite spacious and the instruction was excellent. They really care about their students. I know they'll be moving to a new and improved location soon, and I look forward to stopping in again next time I'm in Kansas City. Important for those who are visiting from out of town: try to bring along a white gi if you have one.
