The prices are really good here (especially if you catch them during a no signup fee promo). It's a HUGE gym, so never feels that busy. They have a wide variety of classes morning, noon and night. I'm looking forward to the pool this summer (also, a drawback for me...a lap pool would be nice). It's also very convenient to head downstairs after a workout and pick up groceries for dinner.
This is an update to a previous review. After I posted my original review. Management at OneLife reached out to me to discuss my issue. I spoke with Brock Berlener when I came to the gym in person. After going over the miscommunication he was more than accommodating. Until I left the gym, I had no problems or complaints with Onelife. It would've been terrible to end on such sour grapes. The gym is a great place to workout and that's why I stayed for as long as I did (1.5 years). I've taken just about every class they had to offer and it was a great fitness/health experience. Other than taking my training in a more boxing oriented direction I would've still been at OneLife. I'm glad we were able to work things out and gets things resolved in a timely fashion. Just make sure everything is clear and in WRITING. other than that you should have a great experience as a member of this gym.
Best gym in the area, I have been going here for a few years now, staff is friendly, all of the equipment you could need, and it's always clean. Highly recommended.
This is a great gym. A super friendly staff and lots and lots of equipment.
Joined today, gentleman that showed us around was very professional and knowledgeable. Gym is awesome. Prices are perfect and there open 24 hours. Everything u need to get into shape. Can't wait till tomorrow. Thanks Troy. (Get Some!!)....
Beautiful gym with all the things! Very busy, fit crowd working out here which keeps me motivated to workout. The classes are great! WERQ Dance Fitness is offered 7 times a week here with 5 of the best instructors. The circuit and ropes classes are killer. The cardio theater is the bomb for those who want to Netflix and cardio;) locker rooms clean and the dry sauna is excellent. Very hip downtown KC feel and access to the rooftop pool.
Love this gym. It has basically all equipment I can think you could need. Great yoga classes as well. Good price for a membership. Friendly and helpful staff.

took out their basketball court for a personal training room thats hardly used. if it had hot tubs or b-ball court it would be a five.
I love One Life's facilities, classes, and staff. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, and there is something for everyone no matter where you are at in your fitness journey. It is super affordable- the classes alone are worth it! I highly recommend One Life to anyone in Kansas City looking for a gym :)

Professional friendly staff. Respectful trainers. Always clean. Keep it up.
This gym is really nice and in a great location if you live downtown, in River Market, or Crossroads. Unfortunately if you don't live in any of those spots it may not be the most convenient and that's the only reason I ended my membership. But that's not anything against this place. The staff and trainers are all really friendly. I even made so many gains during my time here that I now regularly get hit on by gym bunnies, fit chicks, and instagram models!

This has been my gym ever since I moved to KC and I absolutely love it! The group classes are amazing and it is one of the most affordable gyms in KC. The facilities are extremely well maintained and the equipment is above and beyond anything you would need. Staff is super nice and patrons keep everything clean and orderly.

It's a little pricey but has tons of equipment except for a few good ab machines.
This gym is clean and has a great selection of equipment. There are multiple squat racks and ample room for free weights training. There are lots of classes to choose from to fit your goals and schedule, and the trainers are motivating and knowledgeable!

This was my first gym membership. It was definitely a good choice...
PROS:
- The Price is right, around $50/mo, and after the year, it goes m-2-m.
- Parking is available (free in the parking garage), can get crazy in the morning & around 5:00 PM.
- Lots of equipment & whenever equipment started to degrade, it was replaced in a timely manner.
- Lots of trainers (I believe you get 2 free sessions.)
- In the heart of DT
CONS:
- People not putting the weights back, which isn't the fault of the gym, just people being people.
- Lots of bros & hoes
- Music needs to changed from dub step to something like Pantera or Cannibal Corpse.
I like this Gym. Nice new equipment, a treadmill room with a projector that they play movies on, and plenty of machine and weight variety.
The only few downfalls are that it gets VERY busy during peak hours, it's pretty expensive, and some of the clientele is a bit uppity(not the gyms fault).
Overall it's been a great experience and we have really enjoyed working with our personal trainer.
Great gym in KC. Very attentive staff and also I loved the atmosphere here. The place didn't really seem to packed neither although there was sizeable amount of people there. Great place to get my workout done on time and then get back to my day. Would definitely recommend this gym to a friend.
One of my favorite gyms in KC - very unique in that they have almost anything you could possibly want to work out on - hanging rings, rock climbing grips, skiiers, TRX, tire flips, weighted sleds, you name it -- plus the classes are included in membership and so awesome. Love the instructors and the class setting is always what you need - dark and relaxing for morning/evening yoga, or pumped up for cardio/HIIT classes. Marion is the best and I love training with her. She perfects my technique and pushes my strength and endurance to the next level. It's rare to find such a talented and knowledgable trainer who knows such a wide variety of exercises and the exact technique to get the most out of each.
I love the cleanliness of this gym, the trainers and staff, and the rooftop pool. I am thankful for the free parking garage included with membership!
Give their personal trainers preference to weights before members when they conduct there classes, and they take the entire freeweight section 30lbs and under lol
It's the best option downtown. Not enough weights. It's often very crowded.
I've been to a lot of gyms in a lot of different places but this is by far the best one! You feel right at home with the amazing facility, friendly staff and even unbeatable rewards including tons of savings all over KC!
I love that it's open 24 hours, has a sauna in the locker room, and has a studio with mirrors that I can dance in whenever there isn't a class going on. I don't like the limited pool hours.
Equipment is in great condition, good selection of isolation machines and multiple lifting cages. Trainers are very friendly and engaged. Locker rooms are always clean and in great condition. No complaints at all!
I love Onelife! I used to work there so I got to train with several of the trainers and have trained with Greg, Kristen, Britney, MacKenzie and Patrick. All of their trainers know how to kick your butt and are super encouraging. I train with Patrick three times a week and have seen serious progress in my muscle mass. This gym is the place to go for training.
Parking can be tough at rush hour times. The best times to work out here are 9-10am and 2-3pm. Also late at night; its 24 hours!
I've worked out here for over two years and I've got to say the staff despite maybe 2 or 3 of them have NOT made me feel like a loyal member. In fact, often times I feel very judged. Today I received a message on my Instagram with a FINAL warning and my first at that to not take photos in the locker room or I will be kicked out of the gym. While I understand photography in the locker room shouldn't be allowed I also respect the privacy of others and would NEVER photograph while another member is present. I feel very attacked at this point.
Perhaps they should encourage their trainers to take down the photos of themselves on their social media in the locker room. It gives off the impression that photography in the locker room is OK .
