Both the manager and the assistant manager are unfriendly and frequently have scowls on their faces each time I'm in the building. No idea why both of these gals work in an industry that thrives upon upbeat, outgoing personalities, but if I were the owners of this business I'd be replacing them. If you can't smile at other people and be pleasant to all members, why not move on to another job ladies?
One of the cleanest Phiysical Fitness gyms I've been to. Whether in Kc area, Springfield Mo area or wherever. Make Planet Fitness your choice..Black Card membership comes with so many added benefits you will love. Hydrotherapy water beds, chairs , tanning beds, stand up tanning, the list goes on and on.
The staff is always friendly. I see a lot of the same faces there which makes it nice. They have a lot of equipment and weights for every type of work out and focus area. It's clean and I just love going to work out there.

Literally the worst hours our of and PF I've been to and I travel all over the country. Very disappointed, but overall disappointed in this whole city. Cheap fuel and cigs... that's about it.
Very nice gym with all updated equipment. All members were nice and cleaned off equipment after use which is nice to see. They have alot of options for sports drinks and protien shakes. They also have a "black card" section where you can use tanning beds and other select services. Overall a very good experience.
A lot of the equipment was just updated but, they didn't go with newer ellipticals that give more foot rotation so constant pressure on the balls of my feet cause significant foot pain. Plus the staff doesn't do a great job of policing the idiots that camp on machines for extended periods of time. It really makes it tough to get in to a rythym with your workout and takes way too long to get your workout in.
The staff are friendly and always helpful. Taylor is a fantastic trainer and has helped me get on track with my goals. I highly recommend them.
Love this place! I am an amateur boxer who spends about 6 out of 7 days a week in a gym. The Planet has all of the equipment that I could possibly need to keep me in fighting shape! I do all of my strength and conditioning at Planet Fitness. I also utilize the hydrotherapy massage bed for recovery and rehab! The gym is always sparkling clean. And maybe one of the best resources at Planet Fitness is the warm, friendly staff that have taken the time to get to know me, and always ask about upcoming boxing matches that I have! My Planet Fitness is invaluable to me in regards to my boxing training. I've had nothing but positive experiences at the Planet!

Planet fitness is a wonderful place to workout they have plenty of equipment for everyone to meet there goals.
This location has 7-7 hours on the weekend. So if you work on the weekends make sure you have black card membership and head down the road! Otherwise, they are great!

I love the atmosphere, the staff is always welcomeing with a smile I feel comfortable working out there I know if I have questions I could ask without judgement! I have been to other gyms in the area and I for sure do my best workouts at the blue springs pf!
Great selection of machines/ expanded room is excellent for accomodating bigger crowds/ no pressure staff ensures comfortable atmosphere.

Great place to go. You can workout, then relax in a message bed or run in and tan. It's very convenient.
It is a nice place to exercise. It is marketed toward a less-intensive clientele, so weight-training areas can get crowded very quickly during peak hours. People can be obnoxious and go unchecked, as the rules are seldom enforced.
They are not upfront about their billing policies. We were not told that if you upgrade your membership it extends your contract a year from the time you upgrade, not from the time you join. So when we went to cancel our membership we had to pay the termination fee even though we had completed a year from the time we joined. Manager was completely unhelpful. Beware, they also charge a yearly "maintenance fee" . So you think you are getting a good deal but there are plenty of hidden fees. Make sure you ask plenty of questions because they are not going to tell you.
Besides the ocassional member who thinks they own the place the gym is great for people of all ages, sizes, and advancements.
It's nice, overall, but the rules are seldom enforced. This results in greater numbers of insufferable people abusing the price and atmosphere.

I have been a customer of Planet Fitness for a few years now and my overall experience is excellent. There have been a few bumps here and there over the years, but that's a very small percentage to the amount of time I have spent there. What I do love is that it is consistently clean and up kept. It is predictable in amenities, and they fix things that break quickly. I can do my thing and leave. It's easy and requires no additional requirements of my personal time. Anything that can simplify my life is where I'm at.
Planet fitness has an enjoyable atmosphere and very friendly helpful staff. Facility is clean and comfortable and they have just remodeled a new abdominal and stretching area. Upkeep on machines is continual and in good working order. Issues if any seem to be handled quickly. Thumbs up!
Unresponsive, unhelpful staff and one rude, lazy and childish club manager named Lisa, who really needs to be replaced. I just signed up, and it took me 3 trips up there and 6 days in order to find out there was an issue with billing, and that's why my membership wasn't active.
At one point, I drove up there only to be told they couldn't find the manager and that I'd need to come back later to find out why my membership wasn't activated. I'm not an impatient person - in fact, I waited 6 days to even say anything - and during that time, I was paying for a membership that I couldn't use. No one there seemed to care that I was paying for a membership I couldn't use, let alone have any sense of urgency about finding out why.
When I was finally contacted by the manager, Lisa, on day 6, she was incredibly rude and dismissive, went on to tell me me the problem with billing was my (or my bank's) fault, and then said "So I don't know what you're blaming me for." She didn't seem to care how long I waited or how many trips I had to make up there to find out what was going on - it was all about her being "blamed", apparently.
After talking to my bank, I tried calling Lisa back, but I was unable to get through on the phone. I left several messages that went unreturned, so I finally drove up to the club. When I got there, I tried calling from the Iobby, and it was then I discovered their phones weren't ringing, and hadn't been for several hours. When I made Lisa, the manager, aware that their phones hadn't been working for several hours, there was no apology. She literally shook her head, shrugged her shoulders and said "OK" with an unbelievably apathetic tone. As I left to go to my bank and sign off on the monthly draft, she shouted something to my back as I was walking out, and then several staff members laughed at her joke. If you read other reviews on this club, you'll see I'm not the only person this woman has talked trash to as they were walking away. As you might imagine, that kind of treatment doesn't make me want to go work out - it makes me want to avoid the place.
I let it go and didn't say anything, drove straight to my bank and signed off on the monthly draft within an hour of being notified what the issue was. When I left the bank, I called Lisa (the manager) about my account, she said the billing system still wouldn't let her set up my account, and then she literally told me I would just have to wait and talk to the regional manager about my membership, since I had called Planet Fitness to complain about her! Yes, you read that right - the manager of the club flat out refused to help me any further because I called and complained about her.
To this day (almost two weeks later) the regional managers haven't bothered to call me, nor has anyone from Planet Fitness. I've literally been given zero help, other than a single grumpy phone call from Lisa explaining it wasn't their fault!
I've contacted the Planet Fitness (corporate) multiple times and they don't seem to care at all. They've told me multiple times that the "regional manager" would be contacting me. Today I was able to learn that the "regional manager" is actually employed by the franchisee that owns the club I'm having trouble with, so it's no surprise they've ignored my complaints and not bothered to call.
If Planet Fitness as a company is OK with one of their clubs being run by a rude, lazy woman with a piss poor attitude toward customer service (an attitude which permeates the entire staff), and they don't bother to step in and help when a customer is given the run-around for two weeks, then I'd have to say the entire "judgement free zone" and all the talk about a friendly atmosphere is nothing but lip service. They lead you to believe that this great club experience is part of their core values, but when it comes down to it, they really couldn't care less how poorly members are treated by staff.
Their memberships are cheap, but it's at the expense of customer service. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Don't waste your money! This place is a joke. The staff is disrespectful and doesn't know how to properly speak to their customers. I was NEVER notified when my auto debit fell off my account to where I was behind on paying for two months. Instead, they decide to keep charging me late fee's. The only time I received a call about my account was a marketing person letting me know that I had free points to use. If I was notified before my account racked up for 2 months, I wouldn't be in this situation!!! When I went in to cancel my plan and pay for the two months worth, they decided to tell me I was charged $10 for each month. Again, this place is a joke! Don't waste your money.
BEWARE!!!! This Company is NOT Trustworty. My home club is Blue Springs. I signed up for a Black Card so that I could take part in the Unlimited Spray Tan feature. I don't spray tan very often but I liked having the ability to get one as part of my membership if an occasion came up that I wanted one. I decided to get one because I'm going to a wedding. When I called to ask about the hours I was told they took this feature away. As a Blackcard member I was never notified of this change. They also charged and kept the price the same as before even though they eliminated one of the biggest benefits to having a Black Card. When I called corporate the lady told me their contract states they can change any equipment or take any feature away whenever they want. I called my home club to cancel my membership and the club manager told me I will be charged for the contract cancellation AND that since my automatic payment comes out in two days I would be charged for the next month as well. I told her I understood that I would be charged because it's to late to stop the automatic payment but could I be refunded that amount since I cancelled before the next billing cycle stated. Her simple answer was no. I don't understand how these policies are legal and think a class action lawsuit is in order. They recently lost another class action lawsuit for lying to their customers. I will look into this option however what prospective customers need to know is that this is a greedy company that does not care about it's clients. They are all about themselves. You've been warned and I hope you choose not to give this company any of your hard earned money.
Don't get me wrong if you are new to fitness or don't workout frequently, this is a decent facility. The environment is sold as carefree, but they have silly rules posted everywhere. While it may not be meant to be serious, it comes across as stupid to me. And anyone who's worked out semi seriously for years won't find anything of value in my opinion. But give it a try, you might like it.
Wish there were classes offered and not just 30 minute trainer sessions. But, I like the price and the place is always clean and kept very professional.
I've been going to this Planet Fitness for about four years. I like the staff, they are normally always friendly, I love the amenities like the big locker rooms, the massage chairs and the tanning beds are really nice for the price, and I appreciate that the gym always appears to be clean and well maintained.
The only reason for the three stars, and also why I might not renew my membership, is due to the attitudes of some of the members, which seem to have deteriorated in recent months. More specifically, I have noticed a lot more people not bothering to wipe down their machines and also being very inconsiderate to others - I use the 30 minute circuit and last time I went there were two women who were skipping the order of machines, then going back to the machines that they previously skipped (which made it really hard to do my workout), and they were also not bothering to wipe anything down and they looked very sweaty. So I had to clean the machines BEFORE and AFTER I used them which was just a lot of extra work.
I also one time had another lady skipping machines and when I was using my machine she apparently got impatient, I guess she wanted to use it too and did not want to wait her turn, because she came over and stood right in front of me glaring at me while I was working out - I gave her a look that I think conveyed exactly what I was thinking because she suddenly picked up her stuff and left.
I've also observed people just sitting on equipment playing with their phones and laughing and ridiculing other members.
I realize there's only so much the staff can do about people's attitudes, however I think maybe more signs are in order and perhaps a staff member should just kind of circle the gym and just see what is going on. I know it's awkward to confront people but truly, having to deal with the attitudes is the reason I might stop going to this gym, which is sad because I would miss it.
