I have been going to Anytime in SSP for about ten months and I love it.
Just about anything you need from cardio (treadmills, elliptical, stair climber, and they just got a rowing machine. Haven't used that one yet but I've heard that's one of the best full body workouts you can do) to free weights to weight machines, you can get it there. They also have a small studio to use either a virtual workout on a projector screen or general fitness, which is really handy for body weight exercises like push-ups.
This is also price-wise, one of the cheapest gyms you can find in the area and it allows you to go to any of the Anytime locations, which is really nice if you travel or if you are in a different area.
Very friendly staff as well and always willing to answer questions. I came in at 220 lbs when I first started and got nothing but support from them (as well as two separate occasions where total strangers gave me some encouraging words).
In terms of bang for your buck, you're not going to be able to get much better than this place.
EDIT: Such a shame but I am dropping my review score from 5 to 2 stars now. I asked to have my membership canceled in September where I was told that I had to wait until March to do it since I had the contract. Fair enough I suppose...
March goes by and I have a $30 charge from Anytime. Call the 1800 number, they say I have to call the gym. Call the gym, the phone goes to VM and the VM is full. Call the 1800 again and they say I have to go down there. Get down there at 5:30 and no one is there. Call the 1800 again, told they will reach out to the gym and get back to me in five business days. Six business days later, I call the 1800 number and am told to send the gym certified mail asking to have my membership canceled.
I loved going to that gym but there is no way I would EVER recommend anyone go to Anytime anymore with how bad this experience has been. I would strongly recommend that you check out any other gym unless you plan on never ever ever leaving Anytime ever in your life...
