The instructors are all so kind and encouraging! They're all there to help you get better, and they always go at the right pace.
I've been going for 3 months now, and I feel stronger than I've felt in a long time. Not to mention doing aerials is a fun and challenging way to get fit.

The instructors at the aviary are amazing. I always feel respected and supported- even when I was just starting out and struggling to do half the moves. They are always encouraging you no matter where you are in your fitness journey. The workout itself is addicting. I am hooked and easily go 2-3 times a week. The hour goes by in a blink of an eye and I'm left craving more. I've also seen myself grow so much stronger over the last couple of months and that in itself is worth it.

I have only been going to the Aviary for the last 3 months but I already spend *too much time there which is totally a good thing. I was only looking to work out and try new things but I did not know I would totally fall in love.

The workout is intense but since the moves are challenging, the workout is necessary. The instructors at the Aviary are very lovely and make sure that you can only do what you are comfortable with. Please do yourself a favor and go to this place and make it your home.

The Aviary is the best place to learn aerial hammock skills! The instructors are amazing and they always take the time to help you nail a trick they show in class! I highly recommend the beginner series to learn a bunch of tricks before going to regular classes!

I had taken a beginner class here and loved it! This month, I planned a private Gold class for a Bachelorette party of 7 and it was amazing. Instructor Angela read the room and challenged us to work hard and learn new moves. Never moved too fast for the slowest person in the room. Highly recommend!

I have no horror story to tell about the Aviary. The staff is friendly, professional, and good at giving instructions. The reason I write this review is because I don't believe it is a good studio for people experienced in aerial silks or aerial yoga. I ended up going to the Aviary because the instructor at my old studio left. I saw the two class deal for new members and decided to check out the place. It became clear that the studio was more focused on fitness than learning serious tricks in their everyday classes. Most of the moves in the class were basic; however, I was told there were sometimes trick focused classes on the weekend available but you had to complete a large number of fitness classes before being allowed in (which is understandable). The rules here are really strict. You are only allowed to practice the moves the instructor is going out, and you are not allowed to practice any tricks that you learn outside of the Aviary. You also are not allowed to walk fellow students through tricks. The reasoning for this is not to discourage beginners and for safety. Being told I was not able to do anything I learned from other studios was very discouraging for me. Room for growth seemed limited. One of the girls that attends my new studio attended the Aviary for a few classes and said she felt the same way.
It's for these reasons I would not recommend it to people with prior knowledge. If you are new to aerial and want a studio with teachers who will take the time to walk you through each step, this is the place for you.

Love the instructors and all the different types of classes! There is something for everyone no matter your fitness level. It's really awesome to have a gym that makes me excited to workout!

The Aviary--both locations--could not have been more welcoming! I was visiting from out of town, so I squeezed in four classes within thirty-six hours: into to aerial, aerial strength, intro to lyra, and aerial arms/abs. Zero regrets! Jill, Angela, and Kaia were consummate professionals--knowledgable and encouraging and patient and supportive. I cannot say enough glowing things about these studios, and I highly, highly recommend them to anyone interested in aerial!

Their website is easy to navigate, instructions are easy to follow, and scheduling a class was a breeze. It's very helpful how they have course descriptions and instructors bio on there. The studio itself is very beautiful and it was a welcoming atmosphere for all background and experience.

Going to a class at The Aviary is easily my favorite part of the day! The instructors work really hard to create a fun and motivating environment while giving you a killer workout. And it's just so much fun! I love being in the fabric and learning new skills all the time. The Aviary is a great gym with so many different class formats, workshops, boot camps, etc. If you want to become an aerialist, go here! You'll gain strength, look better than ever and have so much fun doing it.

I've had a lot of fun taking classes at the Aviary. The instructors each have their own style and way of teaching making each class very different from the other. Coming to the Aviary has been a great alternative to your average gym.

I've been attending classes at the Aviary for a little over a year now and I can't begin to describe how amazing this place is! I've seen more progress building strength and endurance with this workout more than any I've previously tried. The instructors are supportive, fun and motivating (You can't go wrong with any of Jane's classes! She's the bomb) and they make the aerial moves approachable for all levels. Go fly!

I just had my first class (the intro class) last weekend and it was so much fun! It is seriously so fun and stretches your body and makes you feel incredible. I tried it with a few friends and our instructor (Matthew) was so helpful and did a really fantastic job! I will definitely be taking more classes and can't wait!

I just took my third class yesterday and up until that point, I loved it. I'll complete the month I paid for, but caution beginners to stay away from instructor Cheryl. She basically avoided eye contact with me, was unhelpful with regard to the workouts, and generally seemed to enjoy showcasing her own skills more so than helping anyone in the class get better. Hopefully going back to the other instructors will encourage me to stick with The Aviary, but I'm definitely not giving up on Aerial and I'm glad there are so many other cool spaces in MN to learn.

Oh, also, in my three visits I've yet to see another person of color. That's typically a deal breaker for me because it says a lot to me about an organization. I know some will appreciate that feedback and others not so much, but there it is.

Right away I felt at home at the aviary. I highly recommend all instructors, but especially enjoy Cheryl's classes. She provides a workout for all levels- she has high level progressions as well as modifications for beginners or for moves that don't agree with your body. For example, I have sinus issues which can cause pain when inverting- Cheryl has modifications for those moves, and helps if I am having difficulties. She is a great motivator, and has definitely helped me reach fitness goals! The Aviary is an amazing place- from the instructors, to the students, to the environment!

We had a private party here for a work event and it was incredible! Our instructors were SO MUCH FUN and super helpful. No one had done anything like it before and everyone wants to go back. Amazing energy!

Posted a respectful and honest 2 star review on their fb page and was blocked. Bad business practice.
