Been going here for a while. Lots of equipment, staff is engaged and supportive, and the gym overall has a good 'community' feel.

Southside gym has the best equipment and atmosphere out of any gym I have been to by a long shot. The owners and members are very encouraging, and get excited over anyone's new personal record.
At this gym people know you name. It is a community as well as the best gym.
Southside also hosts a few powerlifting meets, as well as numerous charity events per year. It is good seeing a local business that cares about the community and those who are less fortunate!

Joel and Jared are Beasts! best gym around, I've not seen a more diverse powerlifting gym around. Commitment and dedication to their clients doesn't get any better!

New lifter or seasoned strength competitor, this is the place to be. Come in for a day/week/lifetime to train at a gym that loves seeing people grow.
This is a great gym with tons of powerlifting, olympic lifting, and strongman equipment. Awesome friendly owners and lots of extra activities going on there. Convenient location right off of 35W.
If you are in the market for a quality powerlifting/ bodybuilding type of gym this is the one I would recommend. Joel and Jered ( Owners) are 2 legit to quit....it's a great atmosphere with great equiptment.
Southside Athletic is by far my favorite place to train in Minnesota. Jared and Joel are great guys and great hosts. Whether you powerlift, bodybuild, do strongman, or just come in to stay healthy, Southside has it all. I travel a lot and they by far have the best facility I've seen. Hit them up if you ever have a chance.

I started out here a member, years ago. I eventually became an owner and I couldn't be happier. I give this gym 5 stars because of the atmosphere and the sense of community that's provided by my members. I'll always go out of my way to continually add to Southside but I'd like to give my members the rating they deserve.
For any incoming folks that are reading this, you'll notice once you walk through those doors that the atmosphere here is second to none.
