My wife is having a very alarming & terrible experience. Her and her best friend wanted to try out this gym among others in order to decide which one would be their permanent home. After experiencing Edge Fitness they decided to leave crunch. Her friend went into the gym to cancel her membership and everything was done perfectly. My wife entered the gym in January to break the news and cancel her membership, she she followed the same procedure as her friend and was told her membership was cancelled... UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS NOT THE CASE... after repeated conversations with employees at Crunch Fitness... it is March and they are still not able to stop the auto drafts! She had to ask her bank to reject any payments associated with Crunch Fitness because for some "unexplainable reason" this company cannot stop pulling out of her bank account... I strongly advise anyone in this area to go with Edge Fitness or another gym if you value the control of your bank account. The unfortunate part is the gym itself is nice, the staff seemed very nice when I visited.
*If they do not allow you to use a debit card that is not linked to your bank account I would not go to the gym... unless you have a separate bank account for auto draft items, that your main income is not deposited into.
I'm not sure what going on at this location but been having issues here. Seems paper towel dispensers are always empty or broke tanning beds have been out of bulbs over a week now. I say something to the workers and I get a response like theres nothing we can do. Like really call repairs on it. I have someone interested however they are thinking twice now. And to be honest I too am thinking of canceling my fill membership and going else were.
When I go to Crunch Fitness - Westland, I am inspired by all the members around me (who are seriously working out,) that I can do it too! I started my own program and Shawna, one of the fitness instructors is wonderful about making herself available to encourage and instruct on how to maximize a workout. One of my favorite classes is Yoga. Mary W. is one of the best Yoga instructors I have known. I think she wakes up at night with new ways to stretch and strengthen a muscle you didn't even know you had. Please keep up the good work!
The staff was phenomenal in helping me choose a plan (Maverick and Nick were great!) This place is exremely clean as well. I was shocked at the amount of equipment options they have (the turf, punching bags, rope machine, etc.). Definitely recommend!

Great place and equipment. Worked out here on Thuursday 08/23 and was ready to switch from planet fitness but the staff was so unhelpful that I just walked out. I had a free pass and didn't get a tour of the place because he was getting off soon. So I spent 20 minutes walking aimlessly but ok fine. Then I finished my workout and was going to sample the tanning beds to make my final decision and while one girl was helping me and whispers in her ears and then the girl says sorry it's a liability thing can't let you use the tanning beds but if you pay 10 bucks you can. So let me get this straight instead of me signing up as a customer for a long period of time you'd rather just get 10 bucks and not have me come back.
Update*** I was contacted by the owner and he offered me a free week pass and apologized . After 2 sessions I went ahead and joined. This place is awesome and was really impressed on how fast I was contacted. This place is so much better than Planet Fitness for my workout needs. The free weights, the punching bags and sled are great. Nick is a good manager and easy to talk to as well as my old friend Jenna. Also this place is kept extremely clean. Thanks for everything

I'm honestly obsessed with this gym. There is so much equipment, I haven't been able to not do a workout routine because of lack of equipment. I do a lot of plyo workouts, and I really appreciate everything Crunch has to satisfy those routines for me! And the staff is all SUPER friendly and FIT themselves. It's inspiring to see that Crunch is practicing what they preach by having a full staff that are living healthy lifestyles themselves. 5 out of 5, I recommend to all my fitness friends and fellow gym rats!
This a great gym. No matter what your goals are they have the equipment and staff to help you achieve them! The personal training sessions are incredibly helpful as well. I've had a great experience here ever since I became a member when this location first opened.

Love this place so far and especially since they have workout classes. I feel like the classes aren't that flexible though. Sure if you don't work the standard 9-5/6ish. It's hard for me to make it to any. There are only a few late ones during the week. Barely any on the weekend. I love the 360-3x class, however I can barely make it. Are there going to be more classes on the weekends?
The actual machines and facility are great, but the staff don't seem to know how their job works. I was charged a non-refundable fee for a service I didn't want. The employees only seemed to understand the charge policy rules after the fact when it could no longer be refunded. Feels good to have been mislead into giving money under false pretenses.
Best gym I've ever been a member of, I've tried 5. Almost never have to alter my routine due to high volume of patrons. Everyone is respectful of each other. Friendly staff. Value can't be beat.
I absolutely love this gym! I love all the classes they offer at different times so I never have an excuse not to pick up a class and work out either before work or after work. Hours are great and flexible. The staff members are wonderful and always greet you when you walk in.
If I could pick one thing I like most about this gym, it would probably be the amazingly friendly and outgoing staff. I have not had anything but great experiences with each and every one of them, and it's clear how much effort they put in keeping the gym clean. On top of that, Crunch is all around a spacious and well-maintained gym, with a great atmosphere, that I would recommend to anybody looking for either a casual or a hardcore gym experience.
I have been a member here ever since the place open and I love the gym. It's very clean and one of the best gyms I have ever been to. However, I haven't started using my membership because I am shy about working out when I know I shouldn't. It's hard being super overweight when you're afraid of getting stares because you're the "BIG GIRL" at the gym. Hopefully I will begin to utilize gym membership soon. Maybe I could speak to someone about making me feel more comfortable and not being so nervous.

Great place and atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the building was clean. The equipment was new and in order. I like it better than Planet Fitness. There are a lot of different ways to sculpt the body you want.
I worked out at planet fitness for about a year before I started hearing about "CRUNCH" opening up down the street. I'm honestly upset that I didn't come here sooner.
The staff? Amazing. The people who work out here? Both amazing and respectful. You'll find that both the staff and the people who work out here to be incredibly kind and have your best interest in mind.
If equipment might be a gripe of yours, than gripe no longer my friend. Because this equipment blows planet fitness and a majority of other gyms out of the water. Easy to use, comfortable, and clean.
The only reason I gave this review 3 stars is because of the classes they hold here. The classes I'm around happen at 6pm. They have a large speaker that they play music over at an incredibly high volume, with someone with a microphone talking over it. Its obnoxious. Also, If you wanna use any of the equipment anywhere near the class, forget about it. They, as of right now, have an orange tape that surrounds the whole side of the gym they are working out in. Before that, the trainers would yell at you if you even looked at the equipment In their area. It puts a damper on your workout if your an 8-5er like myself.
However, with all that being said, this is the best gym I've ever worked out at. And I highly reccomend it to all my friends, family, and anyone really who's looking to get some gains.

I was given a 1 day pass by a co-worker to attend Crunch Westland & I attended the Yoga class that was taught by Marcia. Awesome class & the facility is so clean with new equipment & the staff was ever so nice!!! Will be joining soon!!! #TeamCrunch
I was very impressed with what i saw when i was given the tour. Im very excited to get started using the awesome equipment that you have. Last but not least the building is very nice, neat and clean with plenty of equipment to use.can't wait to get start.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. They ensure that you understand everything about the membership you choose. The gym itself is huge, the equipment is spread out nicely, and everything is extremely clean and looks new.
I give it a decent rating I mean what's really holding it back is this BS about not having enough people signed up to have them open longer than 7 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday I mean what kind of main gym that's supposed to be like a chain or a higher known Jim is only open till 7 on Saturdays and Sundays? It's been open for some months and I always see it packed so it'd be nice to actually get the weekends open to work out but other than that everything in there is nice and new and they have heavy bag so that's good I would definitely recommend it if you don't plan on working out on the weekends LOL I had to edit this to make sure I got in the goods because I don't want to like trash them completely it's just frustrating when you are so used to working out at a gym that has decent hours weekend why's that when you pull up and see the whole lot empty and realized an they are closed it gets frustrating after so long but anyways they do have new stuff which is what I like they do have heavy bags and that's something that's a big plus for me because you go to Planet Fitness or another gym and they don't have anything of the sort it really does allow for some good workouts and some good practice the hydro massage chairs are good to in the membership price I actually can't complain about. I never buy the extra memberships just the basic for any place but this one was nice enough for me to double down and get the good one so I don't want to leave out the good stuff and yes this is voice to text so that's why it is so long
I have been coming to Westland Crunch even before the location opened "Parking lot workouts". I have purchased the Peak Plus Results package and have totally loved the Ride class, Small Group of Camp Crunch and the various group classes. The instructors will show you modification if you let them know of your issues before class, for me I have a wrist issue and some day's my knee's. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Have questions ... Just ask.
I love this place. I've worked out here in the past in California, and this is exactly what I expected to see here. Bumper weights, free weights-heavy dumbbells to 120 so i can lift. Squat racks, field turfs and bags! So much stuff for a great price

This place is awesome! All of the workers are so friendly, it is truly a no judgment zone. I would recommend this gym any day.
Impressive gym and a great value. I LOVE the Camp Crunch classes. Instructors are knowledgeable and Darnell (PT) is a beast! Wish it was a 24hr gym but still a really good gym.
