my daughter absolutely loves MAG and the instructors. weekend free play is awesome.
Great place! Staff is very friendly and the coaches are incredible. My daughter started here in the summer program and has learned so much in such a short time even though she has been doing gymnastics for 4 years.
This is my daughter's second year at MAG and she has learned so much and has promoted several times. The teachers and other staff members are patient and truly care. Highly recommended.
Absolutely wonderful place.
Friendly, helpful staff and great coaches that obviously care about gymnastics.
You couldn't find a better academy!
I've been involved with this gym for 38 years, from the age of 5. I will always love this place!

MAG lost 3 stars because of "coach" Marlon. Friday, March 9, 2018 was the worst time I ever had at MAG. Having him hurts more than doing a back flip and landing on your head, emotionally. I was trying to make a friend laugh and he made me sit down. Then he comes and sits down next me (yes I did move away from him a little, cuz who wants to be next to that- --what is it? Watermelon... wait no, melon... wait no, "Coach" Watermalone... yeah, Watermalone guy, ok ANYWAY) and RUDELY talk to me about what I did. "I am your coach, and you better not disrespect me again, or else you will never attend my class again," he said. First of all, I wasn't even disrespecting you and second of all, you could talk to me nicely, MARLON. Then I talk to my friend about what happened and then he accuses me of talking bad about him... no proof. Same thing he says, except he stands towering over me as if he was about to throw me across the room (not really, but in my opinion...). I do the cartwheels he asked everyone to do and I say goodbye to my friend as I walk out without telling him. I go to the front desk crying and call my parents telling them to pick me up. My mom and I change my class and coach, which I am happy about cuz I'll never have to deal with his rude behavior. So, ask you can see, THIS ALL STARTED FROM ME TRYING TO MAKE A GOOD, COMPASSIONATE FRIEND LAUGH BECAUSE SHE'S SAD, AND THEN I COME OUT CRYING AND LEAVING EARLY. So if you don't want to have a good chance of crying like I did and having to switch classes, DON'T TAKE COACH MARLON!!! All right that's the little bit I wanted to say. Everyone else is very nice though.

Round of applause to Michigan Academy because they help younger and older children experience a great gymnastics environment. Michigan Academy of Gymnastics is like home. You can work out, and have a great time with your friends and teammates. You are pushed to your limits and if you come home sore, then you know you are trying your best. With kind, friendly coaches to support you and help you learn and grow. They watch you grow and blossom in to a wonderful gymnast.
Expensive but good coaches
They offer a wonderful parent and tot class. Those who have older kids, you're able to watch them from down stairs or, watch them on the HDTV in the main lobby. And most importably both my girls look forward to going to gymnastics
Great gym. MAG allows average but dedicated kids to advance to team, and is not a pressure cooker like so many other gyms in the area. The program is run by a former Olympian and staffed by former gym parents. Friendly, fairly priced, and an emotionally healthy environment with realistic expectations for kids.
