Worst breakfast ever at a Residence Inn. The eggs have been there for hours. Try making smaller portions! And no wine and beer during the week to entice business travelers. Wednesday food truck every other week was amazing. Just missing my beer. They try with the hand they were dealt.
Nice place but it's never cleaned properly. Last time I asked for a mother room because the cleaning was beyond me. This time I just cleaned myself which I should not have to. How is it that the housekeepers get to keep doing a piss poor job. They have to do better
The layout of this hotel, broken into nine buildings connected by exposed walkways, is a bit convoluted and certainly more conducive to summer weather than to the dead of a Detroit winter. Many walkways had standing puddles of icy water, including the large one I had to stand in to enter my room.
The bed was comfortable and, overall, the room was nice though slightly awkward/inconvenient in some ways, with a door to the bathroom that blocks the sink, a poorly positioned kitchen counter and no guide on the televisions.
The food at breakfast and the evening mixers was a cut above most Residence Inns I've stayed in. I particularly appreciated the naan at breakfast and the Mediterranean meal at dinner. The only drawback here was the hotel lacks a liquor license.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
I would have given a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the layout of the building(s). There are about 6 separate buildings that are connected via outdoor walkways. It wasn't a big deal during my visit in October, but I would not enjoy having to dress up in warm clothes in January just to go to the office or the breakfast area. Adding radiant heat lamps in the walk ways would be helpful.
The people at this establishment were beyond friendly. Breakfast was included every day, with plenty of choices including hard boiled and scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, fresh fruit, breads, hot oatmeal, and cold cereal. Coffee is available all day. A very light dinner is available Monday-Wednesday, with cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, etc. It may not be enough for some. The rooms are small apartments including a small kitchen with a stove. The room was clean and comfortable. It is also conveniently located very close to the Detroit armory for working folks. Excellent experience. Will absolutely stay here again if given the chance.
I love that Residence Inns have the separate bedroom. I was able to work late without disturbing the BF while he slept. The only negative was that the coffee was pretty bad in the room, but I feel like that's just an assumption when you're drinking hotel coffee.
Very nice and clean. Good place to go if you want privacy or an intimate setting. Will visit again!
The staff was rude. We requested to upgrade our room and the desk clerk did not help us. She directed us to call customer service ourself to change the reservation. We were tired and after 20 minutes on hold, we hung up and took the room we originally were booked for. We had to exit the main hotel building on the 3rd floor to access the outside entrance of our room. The set up is not at all like any other hotel I've staid at. It did not feel secure. I did not feel safe. The hotel room was outdated and in poor shape. The carpeting was stained in several spots. The walls were in need of repair from dents and scrapes but they were also dirty with splotches of unknown matter on the bedroom and bathroom walls. The glasses provided in the kitchenette were dirty. That was rediculous. I couldn't even get a clean glass of water to drink. The TV setup was disappointing. There is no channel guide. You just flip through channels until you find something to watch or give up. It also rotated through two CCTV video channels that were labeled for the property but they were black due to permissions or no functionality. The quality of the cable or satilite TV was poor. Several channels were pixelated while others were clear. Breakfast was also disappointing. The hotel staff continued to provide poor service. My husband had biscuits and gravy but the biscuits were still frozen in the middle. The pasty display was empty. There was no spray for the waffle maker so they stuck when my teen son tried to make one. Plus, there was just a carafe of waffle mix without a way to measure how much to pour into the mold. Our teenager had walked out the door dressed but without his shoes. He only had sports socks on his feet. The desk clerk came over to us and rudely proclaimed he was not allowed to have breakfast because he did not have shoes on. He had to go back for shoes before we ate. There was no reason for the breakfast to not be stocked. It was only offered for two hours and we came about half way through. Our stay was not to Marriott standards. As a last tip, do not check out thru the mobile app and leave your key card in the room if you need to use the elevator. Since you must travel outside the buildings, you need the key card to get in to use the elevator. We found this out the hard way and had to carry luggage down three flights. We just didn't think about that when checking out. My husband went about his normal routine of checkout and we were out the room door before remembering we still needed that darn key card. I gave two stars because even though there was a rock concert goining on that we could hear outside, the room was well sound proofed. It didn't bother us at all. The linen was clean and we had adequate towels for showers. We didnt need to request extra blankets or towels.

Good place to stay. Veg breakfast options are less.. hygenic. Swimming pool is nice to spend time. Good parking area available. They are three floored multiple buildings. Spacious. Similar to 1bhk.. cooking facility with microwave is available. Glass bowls are provided along with cooking vessels. Coffee maker plus electric stove. Dish washer included. Calm place. Near to hospital and police station. Safe place to stay.

Great staff, rooms, reasonable prices, a hot tubs
The hotel is in a nice location. The room was spacious and well furnished. It had a small kitchen.
Clean and comfy rooms. Well kept property. Nice staff.
Nice suite with a good sized refrigerator, glasses, etc. in the kitchenette. Good breakfast with enough for a vegan to eat.
Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Rooms nice, but lower standard in comparison to.other Residence Inns.

Very nice staff. Rooms are nice too. The manager on days, Justin is great and very accommodating. We General Motors employees travel and stay there every week. I always choose them over Courtyard by Marriott and Hampton Inn!

Outside has a motel feel...different than most marriotts but inside was beautiful and so comfortable traveling with my family of 4.
Full accomadations, very good for extended stays. The apartment style room provided an extra level of comfort and convenience.
2 Nights i stayed. Calm location. Walkable shopping. Clean rooms. Good breakfast and dinner. Extended stay hotel located direct opposite to this. Little costly compare with Extended stay. But worth for money
I was pleased by how comfortable the suites are, the pool is clean and easily accessible. There were also ball's for the younger kids.
The beds are very welcoming and clean (I checked ). They also have complimentary breakfast with many options.
Nice rooms, and the staff seems to be real friendly. I would have gave five stars however when we first moved in we were in a room right above the basketball court. I immediately asked to be relocated to a room further away from the court. No problem the customer service rep at the counter relocated us with no hesitation and although better we are still not quite far enough away, not sure who thought it would be a good idea to add a basketball court in the middle of a quad of hotel rooms but that decision was not well thought out.

Beautiful room!!! I fell in love from the very start! I will definitely be coming back! Longer stay next time!!!
Good Place to stay when in Warren... Kitchen services included with cultery. Kind a one bedroom house.
Amazing hotel service! Big rooms with living room area, kitchen (utensils, plates, bottle opener, the whole package). They have nightly free food and happy hours and the staff really make you feel welcome. This is one of the best hotel experiences I've had!
Great lobby. Room was nice and clean and the staff was wonderful

Stayed for several days. Quiet, clean, & comfortable. Great service too. The free breakfast left a lot to be desired however.

Great employees, good social area, rooms were kept and tidy. Cleanliness was a slight issue. Looked like all the doors had dirt on them. Good night stay though

I have stayed at the Residence Inn several times now. The start never disappoints me with their courtesy and professionalism. The rooms are always clean and have a nice little kitchenette for cooking small meals versus eating out all the time. The locale is excellent with plenty of eating options and shopping near by. I would recommend staying at the Residence Inn any time.
Family of 4 got into town same day as check-in for a funeral, so we didn't actually get to hotel until late evening, while unpacking I noticed a small bug on the corner of the pillow by my husband's head while he laid on the bed. After researching, we found that the insect resembled a bed bug. We captured the insect, called the front desk, and they sent a housekeeper up (nice guy) who offered to bring us new pillows. I called the front desk and the associate (awesome lady) changed our room. Needless to say, we felt very uncomfortable and did not unpack. The insect was contained in a plastic bag and we were told that management would get back to us. It has been 10 days and although management claims that a pest company came to investigate, they still have not confirmed what type of insect it was. I've shown pictures of the insect (taken at the hotel) to an exterminator and he confirmed it was a bed bug. At this point, Management has made no effort to apologize for our inconvenience, confirm to us that the pest company did actually come out and what was found, cover a dry cleaning bill (as I was afraid to take anything into our home) or anything. Overall, the staff was very nice but management to this point was nonchalant and distant. If you are staying at this place, please make sure that you don't leave with any small critters (other than your kids) that did not come with you!
Megan & Rolanda were my favorite front guest host. They did a great job, A+ for the record. Keep up the great work! So welcoming!
Feels just like a home, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Free breakfast, wifi and parking, while being conveniently close to many food places.
Great location for week-long stays. They have breakfast every day and dinner on several evenings. The workout room is a bit small, but they have a small pool and basketball court outside to make up for it.
